It's the perfect place for lunch or coffee with friends. Everything from the interior to food looks beautiful and makes you feel like you're on summer holiday. The food itself is nutritious, delicious and fresh.

Ive been here a couple of times with my (vegan) friend. Both times the service has been quick, the food has been lovely (particularly the juices, which are delicious) and we've left feeling as though we've eaten good quality food for a very reasonable price. This is a great spot for a quick, tasty lunch!

Went here for breakfast before climbing Arthur's Seat. Breakfast yogurt bowl was amazing!!! Fresh juice was cold and very refreshing. The location is quite central and easy to find. Can't wait to comeback and try more!

The service was rather slow for a takeaway and I was asked to vacate the table I was waiting for my juice on. However, after waiting for 15 mins the juice was lovely! Freshly made and cold.

Came here for some coffee and light snack. Very rude staff. I can understand someone might be having a bad day, but I just asked the gal in front to repeat herself one time since accents could be difficult to understand and it was loud. She ignored me and took my money. I know I am not the only one... More

Went here for lunch and got a soup and sandwich meal deal for 7.50. The food was really lovely. The service was poor and slow though. Very friendly but disorganised.

The freshly pressed juices in here are amazing! They are delicious and healthy, and you can see they are fresh as they make press them right there and then. The food is also really good in here, at least the veggie burrito I had a while ago.

We stumbled upon Hula when looking for a light lunch. Very happy with the large choice of healthy food, delicious juices and cakes. The staff are friendly and the place is always busy on weekends. The service is quick but you don't feel rushed. All in all, a very positive cafe, I highly recommend it!

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
