Lovely little bistro restaurant - we had dinner here prior to the Saturday night show. Great seafood - the Monkfish in Parma ham, and the baked Sea Bass & prawns in ginger sauce were magnificent!

Busy restaurant on the lesser known Thistle Street but has a great menu. Last visited about two years ago and remembered the fabulous Sea Bass I had. Could not resist and ordered the same again, stunning with potatoes and seasonal veg plus extra side of...More
I wanted lamb while we were in Scotland, and we got it here---large shank nicely done with barley and a spicy sauce . The spinach salad we shared before our main course was one if the best I've had--there were pistachios in it and a...More

Superb cuisine with a winning combination of fresh good quality ingredients, simplicity of presentation, and a modern twist on old favourites. Everything prepared in-house. Relaxed atmosphere and fantastic staff. Enjoyed the winning sorbets today!

We visited here to celebrate our anniversary. We were bitterly disappointed! Food was very mediocre, mains of monkfish tail were tasteless and served in a pool of unflavoured water. Definitely not worth the £16 each we paid for them. Best part was the £20 bottle...More
We went before a concert at the castle. Great service and food. Good range of food and very reasonably priced. We very pleased with our visit. Side portions are enough for two.
