We go here quite often, as s couple or with the kids, as it is just a few miles from where we live. It never disappoints. A homely wee place with great food. The welcome is very nice and the service 1st class. After food we usually sit and have s few drinks by the fireside, magic. If you are... More

We to this pub over 20 years ago on a regular Thursday night. It always had a good atmosphere, good beer, food and friendly staff. My wife had her 30th birthday here, that was 22 years ago. On this visit after a long time away the layout has changed and it is very well decorated fitting with a village pub.... More

last weekend I popped into the plough inn for an excellent family meal and that is 100% what I got. The haddock is to die for and the portions are extremely generous which are served in an amazing family environment. The service was exceptional with no faults what so ever.

Amazing food served by genuinely nice people. Beautiful Turkey dinners and Honey roast ham dinners and all under £10. Starters were shared by the group and these too were tasty and generous. Lovely cosy pub with warm atmosphere and wood burner in the bar area. A must visit if you enjoy good food and a cosy ambience.

Had a family birthday dinner here tonight and I was astonished at how excellent t the entire experience was. This is a tiny wee village pub, but do not let that dissuade you from giving the food a try. It is a fantastic find and the service was also fantastic. Can't wait to go again.

We booked a table here as we had eaten at lunchtime before and liked it. Unfortunately we were 6 minutes late, we were told we were too late! How embarrassing, also obviously too late to go elsewhere too so we had to get a takeaway. Humiliating and rude!

We booked at this restaurant ofr 7.30 but went to find its location earlier on the day of our visit. The dinner seating was heavily booked but the landlady managed to fit us in earlier than planned. Our decision to eat here was well justified as the food and service were both excellent . We would recommend this as a... More

A traditional country pub with a warm welcome, open fire and great quality pub food. Now on Winter hours, food available Friday to Sundays, all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bookings highly recommended as The Plough has a small dining area and kitchen, and it can be very busy at times. Hours advertised are Food Hours, however the Bar is Open until late. Drop in for a friendly pint!!
