We had a very nice fish meal here. It was cooked to our liking and the service was very friendly. Well worth a visit if you are a seafood fan.

We were meeting up with friends from the US who happened to be in the neighbourhood and at first i was glad they suggested this place to eat. But i was so very surprisedhow good this restaurant was, the choises and most importantly how fluffy the made their fish. Everything is very fresh. The deserts are not tio shabby either.... More

The menu is limited though it is fine since what they have is plenty. The scallop and haggis is tasty. Tacos are good though could use a little kick. The best dish is the seafood curry except it needs something for all the delicious sauce (rice, bread,...). The refillable chip basket is a nice treat. Pleasant atmosphere and great service.

Hard top tables and fixed seats might make you think of old school fish and chips sit in restaurants. This it is, but the food and the service make it special. Imaginative dishes, made with a range of fresh fish, and specials on the board provide great choices. The staff were professional, fast and friendly. All round quality.

Ask anyone in St Andrews where to find the best find and chips and their answer is "The Tailend!" After checking it out, we totally agree. The fresh is the day's catch & the fried potatoes are hand cut. Great place for lunch and dinner!

Whilst visiting Edinburgh we visited this place - by far the BEST fish we have had from anywhere. We have travelled quite a bit over the UK and do like our traditional fish and chips. Will definitely be visiting this place again when we are in Edinburgh. Reasonably priced, decent portions. Kids portions wre generous size and our kids loved... More

The serving was way smaller than we were told. But the fish was good and so was the chips. The choise in beer was not as expected in a city with these many tourists. They also have an app that could give you someting for free, but do not download it. It is slow, asks for too much personal information... More

Thank svas

We are a family run fish bar and restaurant. We have been in the fish business for four generations and we hope to keep the family tradition going. All our fish is locally sourced and is as fresh as can be. We have our own fish house based in Arbroath, Where we are particularly famous for our Smokies! (Haddock cooked over a barrel, giving an intense smoked flavour) and our Humble Haddock is also a customer Favorite! We are passionate about seafood and it comes across in all our dishes from the Humble Haddock to our Seared Tuna steak! We carry a bespoke range of wines and whiskys suited to compliment your dish, just ask our serving staff for advice.
