This place has Michelin level service and food in a beautiful setting on St. Andrews Bay. The views were as terrific as the food and service. We will go again when we return to St. Andrews - which we plan to do.

What a wonderful place! The service was very welcoming, friendly and prompt. The food was delicious. We both had the wild caught salmon Special. The views of the bay were lovely. This is on our list to revisit. It cost about 280 GBP but we...felt the food and experience was worth every “pence”.More
Very good place. Attentive service. The meal was prix fixe for 2 or 3 courses. Exquisite food. Stunning flavors. Appropriate sized portions. Not “precious” quantities. The room is beautiful with glass walls. Hip contemporary interiors. Highly recommend.
Superb setting overlooking the sea. Wonderful food, beautifully presented by attentive and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended. Will definitely eat here again.
Coming here was the best decision of my entire life. I can see clearly now. I flew across the Atlantic to come here among other places. I feel like I never need to eat again because the food is perfection. If you get the chance...to come here, order the monkfish… actually order everything.More
Visited this restaurant at the weekend for dinner. Beautiful restaurant but not beautiful food and we did not feel it was good value for money. Menu limited so we chose the halibut. Found it to be very heavy and quite dry in actual fact it...was a struggle to get it over!. We had the apple tarte with ice cream for two, portions very small especially ice cream, it was minute. It was a disappointing meal and sorry but we will not be returning.More
Been here for lunch twice now, because it was so fantastic. Firstly the view and atmosphere of the restaurant is incredible. The service is to a very high standard, and the view of the kitchen staff is excellent. The food both times was amazing. The...wine list is the best in St. Andrews especially if you aren't looking to get a bottle but want a glass of nice wine with your meal. Would love to come againMore
This was our first experience here but we will certainly be back. We dined fairly late on an unusually warm April evening. We had the perfect window table with stunning views out to a crimson West Sands sunset. The atmosphere was refined but relaxed. The...staff were attentive but unobtrusive. Every dish was special with amazing flavours and it was nice to have our decisions on wine made easier by the sommelier. All of his pairing recommendations were spot on. This was a total dining experience in an exquisite location. Memorable and highly recommended.More
Not the best experience. Small portions, far too salty, comments made to servers but don't think these were passed on. Very expensive and found it difficult to justify additional prices for certain items, e.g £15 extra for wild sea bass. Speil given to us was...that everything was fresh but if so why was asparagus from Wye Valley and Loire? Asparagus is grown within 10 miles of the place! Sorry It didn't work for us.More
Went for dinner with friends - from the moment we arrived it was fabulous. Front of house welcome was lovely (sorry didn’t get your name) and Mr Streatham 😊. Daniel the Sommelier was the best sommelier we have ever come across - nothing pretentious just...brilliant banter and knowledgeable advice. The food was a different level the scallops and lobster ravioli were simply the best. I’d go back just for them - essential to book - window seat if possible - we’d literally go back tomorrow!!More
As a well travelled & dined couple, we visited The Seafood Restaurant on recommendation when visiting St Andrews, and delighted we did. Set price for two or three courses, we opted for three courses and enjoyed every morsel. Wonderful dishes, a delight to the tastebuds...and interesting creativity and combinations. Unique take on classics such as a tiramisu - who knew! The restaurant is situated overlooking the bay/beach, with gorgeous views. Highly recommended and if you get the chance - visit!More
The location is outstanding, overlooking the sea just behind the R&A clubhouse of the famous Old Course. The welcome and general attentiveness of the staff was excellent. There's a lively atmosphere. Having said that, the pricing structure has changed recently. It's now £78 for 2...courses, plus £6 per side - so £90 + tip. The steak dish was about 4 ounces and 30% fat, very disappointing when you think it's circa £80 for that dish alone. We raised this at the time with the manager, who was very apologetic. He said he would email us with an incentive for us to visit again. Unfortunately, nothing was forthcoming. The final bill was £325 for a couple, certainly not inexpensive. The new pricing structure, coupled with a very poor course, left us feeling like we certainly didn't get value for money. We've been to the restaurant several times, this will be our last. You're left with the impression that it's now about maximising profit, turning tables over quickly, rather than making the customer experience so good, you just have to go back.More
Good afternoon, Mr McMillan Following on from the email which was sent, We do of course appreciate all of your feedback and kind comments but when asked how you enjoyed your experience, you had said that you enjoyed the meal and service but felt that...More
From the minute you arrive through the doors it`s a 5 star experience all the way!! The welcome from the staff was lovely then being seated and looking out on to that view which is just spectacular it may take you a few minutes to...actually look at the menu!!! Then once you do well what to choose? I`m not a huge seafood fan but there are other options on the menu so something for everyone. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu which was a great insight to where the food comes from daily, and whatever you choose you`ll find that it will be delicious , very fresh and presented beautifully on the plate. All the staff are a credit to the place and made us feel very special. Would highly recommend anyone to try this restaurant you certainly won`t regret it.More
If I could rate it 10 stars, I would. The Seafood Ristorante is not just world class food, it’s a memorable dining experience. The servers couldn’t have been more attentive and with each course, explained with exquisite detail the contents of each meal/ wine selection....Seeing the chefs preparing our meals was also fascinating, allowing us to see the artistry of their passion. From start to finish, I could not find one fault. Beyond any expectation and will recommend to anyone and everyone.More
Not for the first time we had an amazing culinary experience at the Seafood Restaurant in St Andrews with friends. We are given the best seat in the house with great views over the west sands. The attention from the staff is a major contributory...factor to the excellence of this amazing restaurant. Their knowledge of wines and detail about food sets the tone for the meal. St Andrews has many fine restaurants and this is one of the best.More
