My son and I had lunch at The Butterfly and the Pig. We enjoyed a delicious meal in a quaint setting. We had the prawns and the meat pie. The staff were really friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome.

I visited Scotland this year and booked Butterfly and Pig for a large party. Family members had highly recommended the place. I had to provide a deposit, but had to cancel at the last minute. Wonderful customer service from Mr Paul Barnum. My deposit was...More

The Butterfly and the Pig is a tearoom with a quaint and quirky twist. It's fascinating looking around at the decor. I had the French Toast and cinnamon with banana and butterscotch topping. It was delicious but the portion was so big I couldn't finish...More

Absolutely lovely food, can highly recommend the cilla black, also had the gammon which was absolutely massive and managed to stuff that down. Brilliant selection of beers, ales and ciders too, and a dead friendly atmosphere/set of staff! If I'm back in Glasgow I'd absolutely...More

Food delicious, generous portions, good beer. Being very close to our hotel, this was the first place to choose in a rainy evening. We arrived with no reservation in a very busy evening, no available place inside the restaurant so we asked to sit outside...More

We had a party of 15 (pre-booked) and what a lovely surprise when we entered that the staff asked about the reason for the celebration and made a complete fuss of the rather embarrassed lady....secretly she loved it though! Fantastic choice of menu and drinks....More

Fantastic night at this cost watering hole. All age groups and a dressed down atmosphere. Reasonably priced and live bands. Would recommend!

You definitely can. They often have birthday parties and even a wedding I think. There are private rooms upstairs.

Yes, they have everything listed on the menu as to whether it is gluten or dairy free. They were very helpful, and I have multiple food allergies besides being a celiac. I remember that it was very tasty and had no... More
