Managed a party of 10 if a bit of a squeeze. Food excellent. Skip the starters unless you have a big appetite. Large Cobra £5 so beware. Would definitely go again.

I cannot fault the food in Charcoals. Excellent indian cuisine cooked perfectly. This is why I have given the review a "very good" mark. A couple of points need to be made however. The service is quick. Very quick. I think the whole meal took 45mins in total, which isn't long for an indian! Also; we were served pickles and... More

We were fortunate to find Charcoals serving late after a long day of viewing Charles Rennie Mackintosh sites in Glasgow. We were tired, hungry, and eager to try Indian cuisine within walking distance of our hotel. Service was terrific, and the food was even better. Don't miss the masala popodums, chicken tikka, saag paneer and garlic nan. We've rarely enjoyed... More

The door step appearance is that of a small take away, don't be fooled, We walked in the aroma was amazing we were seated quickly and the food didn't disappoint, it was one of the best Indian meals I've ever eaten the certificates dotted around the resultant speak for themselves, we were also given complimentary dishes to try the service... Went to this place last night with friends. Nice welcome, very prompt service. Really delicious fish pakora and chicken spinach curry. Staff kept popping extra dishes on our table from the chef. Best garlic nann ever, crisp and not greasy. Staff brought us drinks on the house at the end of the meal which was a lovely gesture. I will... More

We enjoyed the lamb curries, good portion size, we also ordered plain naan and boiled rice. For starters we had the vegetable samosa and vegetable pakora we didn't like the starters very much the deep fried was not great and very oily. We also had a bottle of wine. Spent 52£ for the meal.

We were walking past and had heard good reviews so decided to try it. We hadn't booked but they accommodated us and we had a great meal. Table had to be back after an hour and a half which was maybe just as well as we were stuffed. We chose the Pre -theatre and good chices.Great starters and great mains.... More

My wife and I were visiting Glasgow to take in a show. We looked for recommended to eat prior to our visit. Charcoals came highly rated and I can see why. I made my reservation in advance and just as well as they were very busy when we arrived for 5:15pm. We were well received and taken to our table... More
