Great and inexpensive family meal. Service was excellent and eager to please. Walked in for a Saturday meal at 430 but got in with reservation within an hour and we're immediately seated. The antipasto plate was fantastic. Seafood was exceptional with both spaghetti and seafood ravioli being incredible. Ambiance cozy in a basement. Would recommend a reservation as it has... More

Spent two nights on the trot for a meal here, booked it because it had an extensive fish menu. I had my favourite scallops and my husband had the lamb on our first night, both excellent. Second night we both had the halibut which was cooked to perfection,. This is quite an accolade from me because scallops are one of... More

A lovely meal from pre-theatre menu. I had ravioli starter, which was nice although I couldn't taste the sage in the sage and parmesan sauce. The seabass main was delicious, beautifully cooked fish topped with pancetta. The pinot grigio also went down well, will definitely return to try other dishes.

Was at La Lanterna for lunch today with my husband and two children. From the minute we walked in we were treated like family. Warm friendly and attentive staff and the best Italian food you will get anywhere . The menu is varied. My husband and I shared a platter of Italian meats and cheeses which was superb and then... My colleague recommended a visit and we weren't let down. You can see why it's been voted the best Italian restaurant for so many years. The food is lovely and staff very efficient. I would recommend a visit

We went there at about 17.15 pm it was quiet, but within 30 mins it was filling up quite quickly, best to book if you can. The food was really good never felt you were rushed, they came round a few times to check if everything was alright. The menu is quite large something for everyone, biggest problem we had... More

Ate here a while ago with my wife before a concert. Good value, good food ....service could have been more friendly though.

Had a reservation and indicated it as our anniversary. Was never acknowledged. Service was a little pushy at first as we were asked for our order after sitting down for a couple of minutes. Otherwise service was good until we wanted the check which took a couple of requests. We noticed other tables had baskets of bread but we were... More

Had never been. Went last night. Real buzz about the place, and the food and service were lovely. Knew three other people as well.
