My wife and I were looking for a meal after a visit to the G.F.T. and stumbled across The Two Fat Ladies perchance. The two young waiters were exceptionally helpful from start to finish and offered service at a very high standard. The food was exceptionally good - served in good time, fresh and hot. The wine list was good.... More

This restaurant consistently provides great food. It specialises in really fresh well cooked fish served by pleasant and friendly staff. I have eaten here over many years and it never disappoints.

A long lunch in comfortable surroundings. With a style of ages past (I love traditional table linen) Lunch Menu was good blend of seafood and a few alternatives. I had a roasted cauliflower starter and fillet of salmon main. Delicious! Friendly staff served us a couple of bottles of reasonably priced wine. Glad I tried it!

I am very happy this place was recommended to us, we had such a wonderful dinner there and I wish we could have gone back. The place itself is very intimate, small and cosy so please do book, the prices are reasonable and the food was just stunning, I was actually licking my plate after my fish in lemon sauce.... More

Excellent food and service from friendly staff. Very busy small restaurant, booking at weekend essential We booked for 7pm and at that time ate off the a la carte menu.

What fantastic value the pre theatre is. Delicious food. More bread whenever we wanted and we needed loads - the Cullen Skink is to die for. So good. Lovely little intimate venue with friendly staff who were not overbearing. Will definitely be back, without a doubt.

First time at this attractive small place. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The food on the fixed price menu was excellent with the chicken with beetroot sauce great. Three courses for £18 was good value. Give it a try.

Had a lovely meal here. We had different items from the set menu which we all enjoyed. I like the little touches: the nice bread while you wait (which does not cost extra) and the home made tablet with the coffee. Service was good and so was the food. If you intend to eat here, I would recommend booking in... More

We were disappointed with the experience. I don't understand why people speak so well about this restaurant as it wasn't half way nice. We booked a table for lunch. The waiter started serving one of our drinks wrong. Then he served the bread without butter, we had to ask for it. At this time I was feeling cold and I... More
