Speciality teas are fab, especially the Lavender Earl Grey and the Chai teas. Came here for morning tea treat and had the Rose and Pistacio cake and sister had Scone with the usual cream and jam. Everything is served in dainty wee china teapots, cups and saucers with wee side plates. The soft drinks are served in old jars! Not... More

The Hidden Lane Tearoom is most definitely a little hidden gem. Visited today 15/11 for a luxury afternoon tea celebrating my mums birthday. Where to begin? The atmosphere in this little vintage tea room is perfect from the second you walk in. Staff very friendly, and we were seated upstairs. Included in the luxury afternoon tea is corkage, so you... Visited this place on a Sunday afternoon. Very warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. It's a wee place but very well laid out with a hidden 'living room' in the back. Staff are wonderful. The food was excellent, particularly the scones which are quite honestly the best I've ever had. Tea and coffee also a very high standard. The staff were... More

I had lunch in the tearoom a few days ago. I discovered it through an Alan Cunning's video about hidden gems in Glasgow and I can assure you he was right! It is really a gem! I had the most amazing scone as a dessert and the sandwich I got before was just as good as the dessert! It is located... More

This is a little gem of a place that I discovered today and am already planning on revisiting. We had Afternoon Tea and it was excellent value at £15 for a lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches and unlimited tea and coffee. The food was lovely and the service was very relaxed (in a good way!). Will definitely go back.

Having walked past this lane a thousand times, I decided to follow the sign to the tea room, on a whim. Found myself in a lane I didn't know existed, higgledy, neglected old buildings converted into quirky art spaces - what an interesting find! At the end of the lane, the improvised tea room is tucked away, all shabby chic... More

My daughter and 3 year old granddaughter wanted to take me for an afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday. Susan found this wee gem on google and we booked a table. Well, what a lovely time we had. Susan and I had the luxury afternoon tea, accompanied by spicy citrus tea for me and yogi chai for Susan. The lovely... More

Hang on in there, as the entrance to this little place via a down-at-heel lane doesn't look very inviting but you will find an oasis of calm and pretty china and home-baking.A characterful charming place especially upstairs.

My daughter's hen afternoon was held here in their private space. The afternoon tea was super with a great variety of delicious cakes and sandwiches. They also catered well for guests with specific dietary requirements. The staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us.
