I tried their Haggis Neeps and Tatties with the whisky sauce and it was excellent. The portion was too big for me, so, unfortunately, I didn't taste one of the desserts. I think it is a really nice restaurant in what it seems like an...More

Visited for the first time for a pre concert meal. Meal was nice - the starters (lamb and cannelloni) probably better than the venison and sea bass mains. The veg side of broccoli and cauliflower was very dry though the chips were great. The waiting...More

Restaurant was recommended to us before we set off for a holiday in Glasgow but we decided to go to the brasserie upstairs instead. The ambience was lively and the food was excellent, Scottish flavours beautifully presented and plenty of it, the wee portion of...More

We were celebrating my husband's birthday so wanted something a little different and certainly got it. The Brasserie and restaurant have a wonderful ambiance, with a glass framed roof. The waitress could not do enough for us throughout the meal being very attentive and informative...More

I love the Ubiquitous Chip, it's just one of those places that consistently keeps delivering exceptional food. Every dish is beatifully thought and presented, often with a quirky twist; the spicing on their haggis is the best I've tried; the decor is stylish and unpretentious;...More

Compared to the restaurant (which is slightely more expensive) is absolutely not worth the money. Bad service and small portions. Drinks and cocktails are good, tho. On the other hand, the restaurant remains one of my favourite spots in Glasgow.

Tried to book for a Friday night but they were full. Managed to get in no problem on a Sunday. Venue is really pleasant. Loads of ambience and not noisy. The food was good. Not exceptional but good. Service varied. One of the waitresses was...More

Quite simply one of my most memorable (for being so bad) meals! Service was good. I hate leaving bad reviews but one is warranted!

Great food, great service, well priced. Shared four of the wee plates with my partner, great way to sample the menu and it was very filling. The staff are knowledgable with the menu which is very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Despite the fact that I visit the greater Glasgow area twice a year and have been doing so for many years, and despite the fact that the Ubiquitous Chip is an institution in this city, I had never eaten here before. I was so glad...More

Floating on the mezzanine overlooking the main restaurant at The Ubiquitous Chip, The Brasserie offers inventive and wholesome bistro-style dining with the same integrity and commitment to good quality food as the main dining area. Set over the top level of The Chip and offering everything from all day brunch at the weekend, quick midweek lunches and leisurely evening dinners, The Brasserie menu is as diverse as it's surroundings. Like the original restaurant opened back in the 1970s, The Brasserie at the Ubiquitous Chip is on a mission to keep Scottish food and Scottish producers firmly on the culinary map. Using nasturtiums and tomatoes grown on our own mezzanine, Inverurie beef, Seil Island crab, Loch Melfort mussels and Ramsay's of Carluke's pork belly - we offer you the best of what Scotland has to offer in a magical space.
