Simply wonderful food for reasonable prices, had the confit octopus and the wee venison haggis. Plenty of food, very decent sized portions. Amazing service especially by waiter Juliette, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Fantastic experience, will definitely visit again!

Went here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to the brasserie. Wow! All the trees and plants and then the glass roof... Amazing atmosphere! The food was fine too; sour dough bread with haloumi and egg plant chutney and added soup...More

Lovely food here, I loved my vegetarian haggis. Bit disappointed that there was no mashed potato! It suggests that things are not freshly made. The service was pleasant enough but slow when it got busy.

Good atmosphere with well-chosen brasserie menu (though not many options) Book in advance for couple days or a week to get your table....anyway I had to tell my card number to secure my table on Saturday evening... feel a bit insecure but it was fine.

Friends recommended we try The Ubiquitous Chip and we weren't disappointed. We ate in the Brasserie upstairs; the mezzanine is very pretty and has a jovial atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and really know their stuff - our Sommelier recommended the perfect wine to...More

This restaurant is a highly acclaimed , well known establishment in Glasgow. Maybe it was just my family , but we were all slightly disappointed. The mussels were good but we felt the venison haggis was overpowering , with under seasoned neeps and tatties. Peanut...More

Seeking Sunday lunch in Glasgow before returning to London we ploughed countless menus online and just couldn't get inspired. We said 'oh well let's just go back to the Ubiquitous Chip' - against our normal rule of not repeating restaurants when there are so many...More

Description
Floating on the mezzanine overlooking the main restaurant at The Ubiquitous Chip, The Brasserie offers inventive and wholesome bistro-style dining with the same integrity and commitment to good quality food as the main dining area. Set over the top level of The Chip and offering everything from all day brunch at the weekend, quick midweek lunches and leisurely evening dinners, The Brasserie menu is as diverse as it's surroundings. Like the original restaurant opened back in the 1970s, The Brasserie at the Ubiquitous Chip is on a mission to keep Scottish food and Scottish producers firmly on the culinary map. Using nasturtiums and tomatoes grown on our own mezzanine, Inverurie beef, Seil Island crab, Loch Melfort mussels and Ramsay's of Carluke's pork belly - we offer you the best of what Scotland has to offer in a magical space.
