Went for lunch and was really disappointed to see that the lovely tree with the lights on had gone. Loved this tree. It set Epicure's apart from the other bars which all look the same from the outside and it made you want to go in. Had a very nice lunch and the waiting staff were friendly. The place has... More

We had been before the renovations and had the deal on the pre theatre. Checked on the internet and it was still offering the pre theatre deal. Our party of 5 adults arrived at 6.45pm to be told there was no deal on now. The manager also informed us that another customer had said the same. We asked if he... More

The food is good, that's a given. The atmosphere too is good, relaxed casual smart classy. Gentle hum of conversation undisturbed by noise pollution units, comfortable seating for larger groups. Two problems one of policy, one of training. Service was slow and a tad haphazard, we had to go over the order at least twice and they still got it... More

Lovely place for a quiet, chilled Saturday morning breakfast. We both had full Scottish breakfast and it was amazing. The haggis was great quality and very peppery which we both loved. A mini homemade brownie was on the side of the coffee cup too which was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and we will definitely be back again soon.

Visited epicure for tea. Nicely met by staff as soon as I entered and shown to booked table swiftly. Good menu here at epicures. If you like fish great choices. I opted on this occasion to try grilled chicken souvlaki with salad and salsa. Worralorra chicken. Well cooked and tasty. Salad was disappointing but flatbread good but could have been... More

Met a friend for a light lunch. I had the hake which was perfectly cooked and was served with green beans and a cauliflower purée (which was almost cold sadly). I enjoyed it however, and my friend enjoyed her chicken skewers which was a much more substantial dish. The staff were friendly and we weren't rushed in any way. It's... More

Food has always been slightly disappointing but there is a good atmosphere particularly for lunch. Recently closed for an upgrade so we decided to give it another try. On our visit the Staff were pleasant but slow. House wine at £21 is on the high side, food very average and over priced. The steak burger I ordered was tasteless .

Recently refurbished and the interiors fine enough but the service was desultory at best and the food is still without any hint of flavour at all. It's a frustration because it's in a great spot and the interior is well done but that's just money spent. The bit where people matter, at the table and in the kitchen is entirely... More

I'd been meaning to try Epicures for years, it's lovely inside, in a great location, always seems busy and the menu was descriptive and talked a good game, didn't appear cheap but if it delivered what it promised I'd have been delighted...it didn't. Service was slow & without so much as a hint of a smile or any pleasantries whatsoever.... More

Nice menu. One meal very nice, one meal bland. Poor value. Service friendly but slow. Nice restaurant. Overall above price for a standard meal.
