The 78 is a welcoming establishment, with a cozy fireplace and a choice of sofas or restaurant tables. The veggie burgers are always a good choice, but the menu has other salads and dishes of the day too. A good range of drinks, including Williams' ale, and good wifi.

I like vegetarian food but I think this is classed as Vegan. Four of us went for lunch at noon when it opened for lunch service. The fire had just been lit and the place was absolutely FREEZING. One tiny radiator on and cold air rushing in every time the door opened. I have never been so cold in a... More

3 of us had lunch here on Friday 20th January. We were not disappointed. Generous portions of food. 2 of us had nachos for starters which were wonderful - so tasty. I do eat meat but this was much nicer than a meat version. We all had burgers for our main course - faultless. Lovely chips & a small salad... More

We had been considering a trip to this venue for a while as it only uses non animal based products and therefore suitable for vegans such as myself .As a general rule Vegan restaurants are not always popular with the "average normal diner" . However this is also a popular watering hole for the "student " fraternity but not solely... More

Took my omni hubby here today. He gave the Classic 78 burger 9/10. The food was great and atmosphere relaxed. I loved having our dogs with us and they enjoyed it too. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great value and it's brilliant being able to pinch of hubby's plate for a change.

I was here with my family for my cousins 22nd Birthday dinner. my cousin is Vegan and that's why 78 was chosen. I am not a vegan, I love meat, real meat, but I do respect my cousins choices. the menu was small with not a lot of choices. if your not a Vegan I can highly recommend the chips... More

Came on Christmas Eve for a vegan Xmas dinner and buckfast mince pie! Gorgeous food. Being dog friendly really helps us out coming to visit from Inverness as we do. Wish the toilets would get a revamp though that's my only moan.... generally tatty with sticky doors... Cosy atmosphere with a fireplace and comfy chairs for those who want it.... More

I'm not a vegan, and the thought of a meal without meat in is usually less than appealing. But I was blown away by the food here, I shared shared a falafel burger and a plate of nachos, both were awesome. We stayed for jazz music after too (Sunday from 9pm) which was cool. Nice layed back and quite hipstery... More

I have tried out most of the vegan restaurants in Glasgow, and this one is by far my favourite! It's so so cosy with the fire and candles and the menu is fantastic. I went with my boyfriend and we shared the nachos to start which are delicious, then we had the special burger which was pea and potato (amazing!)... More
