My partner and I were excited about trying the new Sapori a few Saturday's ago. I had been to their old restaurant and loved the cosy, rustic and homely setting almost as much as the excellent food. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy, but unfortunately that did nothing to improve the lack of atmosphere. Modern, clean, but bland and... More

The food was very good and the service friendly without being in your face. Excellent house wine and all for a much less than city centre restaurants of the same quality.

This restaurant is within walking distance to me so was really hoping it would be good especially given all the great reviews. Unfortunately when we visited its new premises we were left fairly disappointed. Decor was bright and modern which was fine , service was good from female but male server was bit miserable looking with little interaction. Starters started... More

Sapori D'Italia has moved to larger premises just along (and across) the road. The décor is completely different, gone is the traditional trattoria style décor replaced by clean modern lines in a very contemporary style - it is very nice indeed. The atmosphere is still great and there is a nice buzz about the room, although I personally liked to... More

We had lunch here on Saturday and the food was excellent. Best Italian I've had in Glasgow. Lunch menu was great value for money and food delicious. I'm just sorry we don't live closer as I'd love to eat here more often!

The three of us shared antipasti di cases which though generous and varied was no remarkable. We followed with mussels which were ok, ravioli of sea food which was chewy and filling and the third friend had tagiatelli con fungi which was acceptable. We followed with a trio of deserts: gelato, chocolate fudge cake and almond cake, all generous and... More

Twice as many tables and a brand new modern look, but the food and welcome remains splendidly unchanged. Well done to B&S for completing the move and retaining the essence of Sapori D'italia. Great italian food and attentive service at very reasonable prices. My favourite starter is the antipasto, the plate for one would do two! Then hit the meatballs... More

Visited tonight with family. Sharing platter to start was promising so was really looking forward to the mains! Carbonara average, seafood main ok .....sirloin steak!!!!!! Never what I had was a bashed out version of a very poor minute steak. I did not complain however when asked if I enjoyed it I was truthful and said NO. I was told... More
