Visited quite late on Friday night, and were seated towards the front of the restaurant, but still tucked away enough for a good feeling of privacy. Food was excellent and the service was perfect, too! Will definitely be returning in the future.

We chose Mezes for 5 people as our main course. After what we took to be the starter, which was cheap supermarket pre-packed quality at best, the owner/waiter asked what we wanted for dessert. I said we'd wait until after the main course - he evidently thought I was joking and I thought the same about him. He wasn't, and... More

I visited here on a weekday evening and was impressed by both the decor and the warm service. The food however, was of an average quality and nothing to write home about. The portions for the main (mixed mezza) were pitifully small and I actually got hungrier eating them! All in all- commend the staff, slap the server.

The restaurant looks small from the outside but goes back away so plenty of room. The service was very good and the choice of dishes was enough to cater for all but the meze expert. We went for the set menu with wine as it came with a selection of starters and main dishes. We thought it was good value... More

After reading online that this place had won the best kebab awards I had to try it. I couldn't make it myself so I told my brother who works in town to pick it up after he had finished. He said the place was dead, yet still took over 30minutes to make his order. The food was served in a takeaway... More

Popped in this restaurant for the first time yesterday. I was really looking forward to eating here due to reviews in papers etc. I have to say what a let down! I have never tasted food so far off from proper authentic Turkish food. I visited with my husband and we ordered quite a few different dishes and we were... More

Ambling round Glasgow on my own, I knew I needed to eat but had no idea what or where. I'm not sure what made me step into Alla Turca, but I'm so pleased I did! No idea what to choose, so I took the advice of the lovely waitress. Everything was perfect, and the Turkish red wine a revelation. The... More

We visited this place for the second time yesterday lunchtime and twice we have been the only people in the place! The waiter (I think his name is David) is thoroughly pleasant, helpful and attentive. The food is really delicious! Both times we have ordered the Mixed Meat platter (not sure of the actual title) it comes with a £3.95... More

Had a fabulous meal and thoroughly enjoyed the live music as it really adds to the atmosphere. I had the lamb shish and it was delicious.

'Alla Turca has that magical quality that so many restaurants dismally fail to cultivate - atmosphere! After arriving on a windswept Saturday evening, walking into Alla Turca was like being back in Istanbul... Alla Turca's good - humoured Turkish staff work so fast and adeptly that they almost run, but there's no panic.I would guess that the front-of-house manager knows exactly what's going on at every table at any point in time, which is more than you can say for many British "Fine Dining" restaurants.'
