First time visiting and wasn't disappointed! Drum stick cocktails and um bungo were amazing! The guys had a chilli cocktail which they enjoyed as a bit different! Nice atmosphere and nice place

We headed in for early dinner, seated quickly and ordered. It all went downhill from there. Finished our drinks and glasses were cleared, and that was it. No offers of another drink throughout the entire meal! We sat with dirty plates for 15 minutes, then the main eventually arrived a full hour after we ordered. Food itself was ok, a... More

It's a great place with a choice of Asian meals and colourful cocktails. Nice atmosphere and comfy seats. The service is fast and efficient and we ordered, ate and paid for our meal in half an hour (we were in a hurry). It's a shame we couldn;t stay longer because the food was fantastic. I had pad thai which was... More

It was busy mid week with bar stools at the side only available. I prefered this to sitting in the basement. This is very tasty food. The Teriyaki beef is served rare so if this is not to you taste remember to ask different. Service was great, attentive and smiley.

I've been here a couple of times recently eating from both the main and the lunch menu and I have to say everything has been delicious. Stand outs are the chicken gyoza dumplings, singapore noodles and super Thai fries. The staff are also very friendly and helpful making it a pleasure to visit here.

Had a meal on here on Sat night (15th April) , food was excellent , service attentive without being intrusive , perhaps more suited to the "student" crowd than ambient dining don't let it put you off giving it a bash and in particular the Cheeseburger spring rolls as starters - the server was correct they were superb and if... The menu was ideal for small snack or for a full meal. Nice selection of Asian favourites. The presentation was very good. The tempura prawn dish was very nice as a small plate portion. The chicken satay and the burger were also very nice. Service was, however, a little slow for a near empty restaurant. I would definitely go back... More

Dropped in to Bar Soba (Mitchell Lane) today while on a shopping trip to Glasgow. My husband and I were the first ones through the door and got to choose our seats. Ordered steam chicken gyoza dumplings with Szechuan chilli dipping sauce, broccoli & aubergine tempura with mint and chilli yoghurt, red Thai curry with chicken skewers and the chicken katsu bun... I really love Bar Soba, the food and drinks are amazing. I really like their Katsu curry and the cocktails are really good. The bar area gets really busy at weekends and evening so best to book if you want to guarantee a table for food!

Arrived just before 5pm on Friday and was surprised at how busy the venue was. We hadn't made a reservation but were able to be sat within 5/10 minutes. I ordered the cheeseburger spring rolls to start which were divine and the chicken Phad Thai for mains. This was very good also. We were totally stuffed so had no room... More

Hi Kat2505! Thanks so much for taking the time to review us! We are a little in love with our new menu... Cheeseburger Spring Rolls are a particular fave of mine too! (Who'd have thought such a combo could be such a winner?!) Please accept my sincere apologies for the slip in our toilet standards on the evening of your... More

Description
Our award-winning flagship bar & restaurant opened in 1999 and, whilst there have been a few changes to the Far Eastern-inspired decor, we've maintained our reputation for serving high quality Pan-Asian street food and exciting and inventive cocktails. We pride ourselves on our generous portions of mouth-watering, authentic Asian cuisine, served by our friendly and attentive staff, in a cool and intimate environment - only a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow's city centre.
