I knew that Dhakin was good for gluten free food, but i didn’t realise that EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten free!! Loads of vegetarian options too. I had a spicy dosa with curried potato and it was glorious! Relatively expensive, more so than a...More

I was taken to The Dakhin by a friend and we enjoyed every mouthful. The service was lovely too and you could hear yourself think. Negatives? Cold by the windows and the wine was a bit costly. Also found 1/2 pints were much dearer than...More

Great dosas! Also very nice selection of breads. My very favourite South Indian. The children love it too.

Its been a while since our last review of the Dakhin and we have been there many times since then. It is consistently good quality and the staff are brilliant, and we never tire of it. The Dakhin is a taste of South India so...More

Would have written this first thing but have been nursing my husband since 3.30 am this morning who had severe vomiting and diarrhoea due to the bream dish consumed at Dakhin early yesterday evening. The first bream was not the correct dish so they did...More

This is the first time we have visited this restaurant. The food was very good but not great in my opinion. I found the Menu a bit difficult to understand and what you chose was a bit of a lottery.

Called in on spec on a busy Friday evening and in a hurry to go onto a show. Table for 2 no problem. Food interesting and varied: not your typical Indian fare here. Will be back.

Had lunch here and had lamb dosa. This was excellent - bigger than the plate and filled with delicious spicy lamb. Very good and well worth a visit for lunch. Excellent friendly service And not too expensive either

A big group of us shared a whole variety of dishes from Dakhin’s extensive menu. They were all divine. The staff and setting are also fabulous and it’s reasonably priced for the standard of food offered. Recommended.

The restaurant does not use gluten at all, so instead of nan bread they had a variety of others. We had a dosa, which was fab, very light. The restaurant was full, food was great, and service was both friendly and efficient.

Yes children are welcome. I'd imagine if you phoned the Restaurant Manager before your visit, he or she would arrange something for you. They are most helpful and very friendly.

Established in 2004, Dakhin was the first authentic South Indian restaurant in Scotland. Set amidst the centre of Glasgow's Merchant city district, it offers diners a vast array of speciality dishes from India's southern region. We're talking about authentic recipes using fresh natural ingredients from award-winning chefs. Food worth talking about, and a warm dining experience to savour. Dakhin proudly features within the Michelin Guide and comes highly recommended by many food critics. If you are looking for something different from your run of the mill Indian restaurant then you'd best be sure not to miss out.
