Visited Mother India's Cafe on a cold Sunday evening around 6pm and it was already queued out the door! We didn't have long to wait and once inside it is perfectly pleasant; watching the staff rushing around and the delicious food going out. I found the service to be excellent - attentive yet relaxed. The food was delicious, authentic Indian... More

Without doubt the best Indian Restaurant. The dishes are served as tapas. It is a varied menu to suit all. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is always busy and the prices are very good.

We popped in for a late lunch / early dinner - the food was great. I liked having the tapas style small dishes because we had a chance to try a lot of different dishes. The chilli prawns were packed full of flavour and the fish pakora was really tasty. Not being able to book did originally put me off,... More

Great restaurant. Been a few times and always loved it. Fish pakora is delicious as is the butter chicken. If you are watching your waistline don't go as Ghandi himself couldn't resist temptation.

The meal was perfect portion and good. We had the chicken tikka and saag, garlic naan and rice. It was all good, the minus was for the exhaust at the Kitchen was not working perfectly, It smells inside and I was not a fun. Everything else is OK.

Visiting with Indian friends, I was wowed by the authentic indian cuisine. Obviously booking is almost essential as I observed a number of walk ins having a drink at the bar as they awaited a table. Not the largest restaurant, but queues tell me that people find the wait worth while. Food was delicious, but not the cheapest. I would... More

While visiting Glasgow, we came across Mother India by accident - as a tip from our cab driver...and we were so thankful we took his advice! There was a short line when we arrived, but we were able to get a seat without much trouble. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was quite cozy and romantic. Certainly a memorable... More

The venue is a converted pub, so is a tad bit cramped. Waitress was great very happy and eager to explain any questions we had. That’s realistically where the good ends. The food we ordered was hot on arrival and sadly poorly put together, one of the dishes we ordered was the Chana Poori, the Poori was ok and sadly... More

Ordered 2 lamb dishes, one garlic chili chicken and a mushroom bahji..Both lamb and the chicken were very dry.. Complained about the spinach lamb dish...3 mins later came out with a "fresh" one... Didn't except it..the Naan bread had no ghee on it very dry....I see there's a theme here I detect...Very disappointed in all the food...When is a bahji a... More
