My wife won 2 free meals being Customer of the Month so we came up especially to eat her prizes. I had the full meaty breakfast and she had the veggie, glutenfree version. Very tasty, super portions and friendly customer service in relaxed surroundings. Our...More

Called in for breakfast before a big day out to conquer Ben Macdui. The food was so delicious and filling we hardly needed the packed lunch we took with us. I had gorgeous porridge with spiced fruit and pecans. The boys had huge pancakes with...More

Despite the shortened menu this summer and having to wait for a table. It absolutely met all expectations. Best coffee I have had since we arrived in the U.K. My black pudding pork and apple scotch egg on red cabbage coleslaw was delicious and my...More

This place is suffering from its great ratings here, and there is clearly too much demand during the busy peak tourist season. That said, it is good, even with the limited menu that are currently offering (the owner is helping her husband get through cancer...More

Waited over an hour before being able to come inside, and once inside, waited for half an hour for our orders (which turned out to be wrong) . Food was nothing special, normal pub quality... Definitely not worth the hour of waiting!!

Had a day trip up the funicular railway. Treated ourselves to a cuppa and cakes. Lovely views and the cakes were delicious

We went for breakfast on a Monday morning with our kids. We had to wait about half an hour for a table but you get a buzzer so you can wander off and do other stuff while you wait. The food was amazing - I...More

We called in for a much needed cup of tea and cake after a long walk. Didn't have to wait too long with a pager to get a table, however once seated we had to wait some time for the order to be taken and...More

We had to wait 40 minutes for a table but this reflects just how popular this place is. The menu was curtailed as the owner has more important commitments but the choice was still adequate and the range of cakes available just amazing. It was...More

Usually on visiting Aviemore, my daughter and I would visit the Mountain Cafe if only to see the wide range of cakes on display. There was usually a queue up to the cafe but we were always prepared to wait. On visiting the cafe this...More

Description
We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?
