We came here many years ago, the only down thing is our soup was warm and when my husband asked for extra bread with his meal it came when we had finished, the steak was very nice and the staff are great although I think the slow service lies within the kitchen itself.

This place really was our saving grace when we had exhausted all other options. We had planned to travel to Aviemore for Hogmanay celebrations with family, staying with them at their lodge. But when one of them was taken seriously ill only hours before we arrived we were forced to check into a hotel and fend for ourselves. With the... More

As soon as we sat down we began to 'feel' that things had changed. The menu was 'less fun', the restaurant had been decluttered - but not in a good way, but we still thought that after many years of eating there surely the food would be up to standard. Sadly only the pasta dish lived up to expectations and... More

Staff found us a table quickly even though busy. Menu An eclectic mix but well cooked and generous portions. Can get very busy and noisy at weekends but just adds to the atmosphere. Downstairs bar is noisy and not for us oldies as stairs a bit steep.

I have eaten here many times and always great food an service, my only opinion is on the pasta dishes is to make them slighty smaller as no one on our table managed to even eat half the plate. Which makes it a little embarrassing when they are collecting the plates. But great food.
