My visit started off well, nice female server, watching footie, bottled beer. My feet were sticking to the floor a lot but I'm not fussy about the soles of my shoes. Then evening staff came in - place turned into what other reviewers mention. Ignored at the bar, staff treated their service area like a social club, with staff finishing... More

4 of us visited here before our long trip back home. As we wanted something quick and nearby we decided to sit it out. First impressions were,it was dark and dingy, your feet were sticking to the floor, the tables were all sticky too. We went to order the specials but was told we couldn't get them as the tills wouldn't key... More

Went for lunch and drinks, service was great. Bar man that was on was very attentive and even mentioned places to go at night. Would have been mid twenties, lord of the rings tattoos and few piercings! Lovely eyes and smile ;) xxx

Staying in inverness for the weekend we walked past this place on the way to going to jimmy chungs, we figured it couldn't be any worse than a buffet place so went in! Huge mistake on walking in our feet were sticking to the floor sat down table was dirty, of the few people that were in the place they... More

Visited this bar on Friday afternoon intending to have a meal. However first impressions last when I walked in the door there was a hole in the wall which looked as if it had been there for a while. The general bar area was scruffy the tables dirty and it looked as if it could have done with a good... More

My friend and I popped in to the Caledonian for a quick bite to eat this evening, which was by far the worst decision we made since arriving in Inverness. Firstly there was no floor staff, just a collection of grumpy people leaning on the bar talking. We sat down at the stickiest table in the town and we're left... More

Visited for lunch. Food was ok, but the whole place was dirty, sticky floors, sticky tables, manky menus etc, we almost walked out. Toilets also dirty and doors, handrails etc disgusting. It wasn't busy, perhaps staff could do some cleaning. Not planning a return visit.

Went here as it was central. The decor was tacky but the meal was lovely, but on visiting the toilets found they were disgsting and had no toilet roll or hand soap. Hope the kitchen wasn't in the same state. If we seen the state of the toilets first would definitely not have eaten here. Staff were lovely but won't... More
