Very nice meal and fairly reasonably priced. However, veg portions served separately from main dishes, far too little provided for the amount of people. Asked for a little extra veg and was charged for this which seems excessive.

After a lengthy period of absence we decided to try lunch once more in this restaurant. A disappointing visit. My first cappuccino was lukewarm and overpriced for the small cup. We both settled for the black pudding starter but why did we have to pay a supplement. It certainly wasn't for the apple. This was a wafer thin slice which... More

Went there last night, really lovely. We both went for the early evening menu and both opted for smoked mackerel followed by venison casserole washed down with a bottle of red wine. As always the service was good as was the atmosphere. The food was good but I make a better venison casserole.

The food was really good but it seems to me the reputation of this place is a little overrated because the quality of the service was not matching the meals.

Visited for lunch, very busy but although we had not booked, we had a pleasant table and the service was prompt and courteous. Two excellent courses for £9.95. Fantastic value and lovely food.

This was probably the best food I had in Scotland. Both my husband and I had a delicious meal. The only thing I would have changed was I would have ordered his meal but this in no way takes away anything from how great my meal was. I found this restaurant by using Trip Advisor and I certainly wasn't disappointed... More

Description
Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.
