To start, the "bartender" didn't know how to make a martini and the cocktail off the their own menu was piss poor. I would say the service was atrocious but it was actually non existent. The food? I just ate the worst and over priced...More

We visited with high expectations based on other reviewers' comments, but were generally underwhelmed. (The dinner rolls were so salty they were inedible - perhaps salted twice in error?). The dining room fit-out is contemporary and attractive but the food isn't cutting edge. Fort William...More

The restaurant is located in the hotel--and as a non-guest it was hard to find, as there weren't any signs or staff to direct you. Stood at the reception desk and rang the bell, but no response. Finally just kept wandering till we found it....More

Visited over Valentines weekend, food was tasty & service good. A nice night out but we were not blown away. Maybe it'll be a 5 star experience next time.

The goats cheese amuse bouche was delicious. We both started with scotch broth which was light and totally not as expected but still excellent. I had the belly pork and my husband blade of beef, again delicious. We even managed puddings, Paris Brest and their...More

This is a quite a small quaint restaurant but the food certainly packs a punch. The food was cooked perfectly, and presented very professionally. Although the prices are higher than other eateries in the area, I thought the food was very good value for money...More

We loved the twists that the chef of this restaurant gives to traditional dishes. The food was great, price was good considering the quality. Great restaurant for a more refined diner. Staff was friendly.

Very good menu and well cooked food. The general service was OK but let itself down by fundamental mistakes relative to wine service - restaurant needs to provide some education. Decor interesting.

I will start by saying that I have noticed all the poor reviews are from over 18 month to 2 years ago and it's a shame that Trip Adviser can't get rid of old reviews good and bad as so much can happen in 2...More

Description
The food philosophy at the Lime Tree is that dishes are made here from fresh, seasonal, locally sourced raw ingredients, then made into something special by our skilled innovative Chef team

'The Lime Tree Restaurant style is one we have come to know as Fiddly Posh Scottish: Lamb with a family tree, duck that went to Gordonstoun, fish that kept its nose clean. All this technically superb, and while served in a part of the country not blessed with an abundance of fine dining, nonetheless worthy of comparison with the cities best. Fort William finally has a heavy-weight culinary destination.'
