I'm just in having enjoyed a tasty meal. I don't mind paying for quality and I wasn't disappointed with the starter of fishcakes followed by pan-fried monkfish. It's the first time I'd eaten monkfish and it was a delight although the sauce didn't seem to add anything - pepper and onions...and a pepper coulis. But the fish was delicious. A... More

I have passed through Fort William many times and often tried to get into Crannog. Fortunately this year on 4th January I was able to make a booking for 4. The staff were very friendly and we had a nice window table. The menu was not extensive but very adequate. I had the Hake as a main course and it... More

We came here in August of 2016, and I was so glad we made reservations. Do yourself a favor make sure you make reservations or you will be lucky to get in. This restaurant has such a warm and welcoming vibe to it, it was a wonderful feeling. Our meal was very good, and very fresh of course. If you... More

Delicious food and great location make this a wonderful restaurant, if you don't mind spending a little more than average. The fish we had was amazing, there is a solid selection of wines, and you can see the loch from your table. At night, however, it lacks lighting outside so you only see darkness through the windows!

We have eaten at the Crannog many times and we keep going back as it's such a beautiful place to eat and the food and service is second to none! A must if you are visiting the area and love good seafood!

This seafood restaurant is by the loch and offers a great view, together with great food! The food is very good, I didn't expect to find this in Fort William but I expected a bit more of choices for mains. No seafood pasta for example ( except one with smoked salmon). I had the crabcakes which were fantastic although definitely... More

We called in without a booking but managed to get a table with views even though the restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday lunch time. Staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the interesting paintings around the restaurant which give it character. We opted for the set lunch with two courses which I think were £13.95. After a... More

We went for dinner. The menu had just changed to the festive offerings for the season. Food was lovely although some of the blackboard specials I felt were just a little over-priced. We had full 3 course meal as it was a special occasion for us and whilst the portion sizes are generous, we didn't feel overly full at the... More
