Reviewed yesterday NEW

We went looking for somewhere to eat and came across this little restaurant. The meals were excellent and my wife had a number of gluten free options available to her. The service was very good and the staff extremely pleasant.

Stopped for a quick bite on our way to Skye crossing. Simple well prepared food, polite staff, lovely view. Tip: amazing tap water. I know it's odd and all, but have you ever walked in the woods, enjoying fresh smell of wet moss and foliage? This water tastes like this

On the way to Portree, my wife and I were driving later and didn't think anything would be open when we arrived at our destination. Stopped at this place by chance and we're sure glad we did. The service was very friendly and attentive as we were seated immediately and taken care of for the entirety of the meal. The... More

My boyfriend and I met a friend here and had the best burger I have ever tasted. It was sublime. My boyfriend had the soup which he also said was delicious and the service was fantastic. Just what I was looking for. Definitely stop off here on your travels if you are hungry, also several beautiful little B&Bs that all... More

At short notice we decided to go the the Jac-O-Bite for a meal. The place was busy on arrival, but we had booked a table. The waiting staff made us very welcome and very efficient throughout the night. The food was excellent from start to finish, with no complaint about how good the portions were! The food is what can... More

Have visited on several occasions now . When we are on holiday up in the area. Always receive a wonderful welcome. Kenny and Jackie are wonderful hosts. Along with the lovely Molly and Ian . The food is freshly cooked to order. And if you want something different they will try and oblige. A true highland gem of a place.... More

Jac-o-Bite appeared at the side of the road with perfect timing as I felt the need for a refreshment stop. It's an enigmatic little place - the decor is is 60s/70s and the tiny bar in the corner reminiscent of the sort of B&B bar you used to find in seaside towns, complete with the price board with the little... We were looking for a light meal and were pleased that smaller portions were available. There was a good choice of meals and friendly service.

We can't say anything abput the b&b or the breakfast which might be good. We were at the Restaurant for dinner since the Lodge nearby was full. Our B&B reserved a table for us. The view and the waitress were nice. The Food was awful. The Maccaroni and Cheese were tasteless with a watery soup like sauce and gave me... More

Your mission should you wish to accept it. A group of 20 hungry hillwalkers turn up on a Sunday night expecting to be fed and watered. You have a room full of people already. The guys at this place did a great job. Friendly, quick and a stress free experience for us and hopefully for them. It ain't cordon blue... More
