Longer than we might have wished since we last stayed here. We have been visiting since before the rooms were added in fact. We were pleased to see Anne still presiding like a queen over the candle lit dining room looking elegant and in control....More

It’s a great concept. A great location....but the bedrooms are tired and have the look and feel of a 2 Star Hotel. Bathroom floor pulling up. Bed lumpy. A bit high for 100 pounds a night. The service provided by those other than the manager...More

Champany Inn blew me away with its traditional Scottish country feel. The restaurant, with its eye on detail, was well laid out however as there was only three parties conversation was in hush time and this is the only reason I haven’t gave it a...More

You cannot criticise the ambiance or the concept, but on our last visit there were a couple of elements that disappointed us. But lets start with the positives, fabulous oysters, beautiful home baked bread. Great menu. But two disappointments - our £100 chateaubriand was dry...More

A truly fabulous experience now as it has been for many years. I suggest those people who say it is old fashioned and needs bringing up to date stick with a nice modern looking Holiday Inn or similar. The owner Anne is class itself, no...More

You definitely will not be the only party. If using the chop and alehouse, you may need to wait in the snug for a table. but its worth it. If eating in the main restaurant you can book. Hope you can handle your meat!
