Stopped here for lunch with my parents after a day shopping in cork city. The resturant has won awards. The venue is spacious and well decorated throughout. I have visited on many occasions and it has become a 'go to ' as the quality is always guaranteed. There were several menus available. I opted for a sandwich. My father had... More

A lovely pub/restaurant with lots of room for small or large groups. They have an extensive menu, carvery to steaks, soups desserts etc; A wide range of drinks and really nice staff who go out of their way to help .

I recently ate here with my parents . Staff were lovely very friendly , loads of parking etc but I found the set up inconvenient. They chose carvey so they queued for that and I chose from the menu in the table . They were half way through theirs by the time mine arrived , would be worth the staff... More

My Husband and I visited the Elm Tree recently for dinner. It was fairly busy without being over crowded. We had made a reservation so we were shown to our table fairly quickly. Not our choice to eat in the bar at a high table but we did anyway. The menu was the same . A waitress took our drinks... More

Hi there Caroline, Thank you for taking the time to provide your review. Apologies that you had to remind the server to bring your drinks to you. Delighted you enjoyed your food. I can assure you that portion size has not decreased, however, presentation of certain dishes has changed hence this could have created a difference to the overall appearance... More

Carvery was lovely, and service was very friendly. Especially by Roy and Kyle. Despite being easter Sunday, my girlfriend and I got parking easily, served quickly and seated quickly. The carvery is lovely but a tiny bit on the expensive side. Wouldn't be paying €27 for 2 carvery dinners every weekend (not including drinks) Well done on the keeping the... More

Went here recently with my dad and daughter. My dad had carvery and we had 2 chimichangas. No complaints about the food. My issue is with the pricing. I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure that the soup/sandwich combo is gone up from €7 to €9. Carvery also gone up? However, I'm very sure that they have put the... More

As the 'owner' I will not justify our pricing but simply say that these have been set as required. We are thankful for our customers who have helped us stay in this business which can be challenging at times. Any increases implemented have been gradual and not 'sneaky'. Everyone has freedom of choice as well as freedom of speech. Wishing... More

Reasonable price and good selection however it served as a fill me up but nothing to get excited about. Wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Comfy place with reasonable parking but seating was scarce at peak lunchtime so it's obviously busy. Just my opinion ..... not a huge fan of carveries anyway.

Thank you for your review Dave, Sorry to hear you weren't 'excited' about our carvery but appreciate you also mentioning that you're 'not a huge fan of carveries'. We also provide a great evening 'a la carte' menu which I think you may enjoy. Warm regards, Derek More
