My husband and I had lunch here our first time and probably the last which is a shame, food was good, our server excellent but the attitude of one of the other staff was incredibly rude when she asked in a loud voice "ladies have you paid" these 3 ladies were about to exit the restaurant and were extremely embarrassed as... I had been meaning to try Jacques for years, and when I finally had dinner here this week I was not disappointed. My fiance and I each had three courses and each one was outstanding. I had the duck for main which I wouldn't normally go for as it can be fatty, but the meat was cooked beautifully and the... More

We had a delightful evening meal here before a show. We opted for Tapas in the front section of the restaurant and managed to get low seating in the window (which is my preferred opposed to the high stools also on offer in this section) The gin fizz cocktail was delicious, although pricey at almost €10 per flute. My boyfriend... More

Firstly the service was just perfect. Great staff that are very good at what they do. As a table of 6 on a busy night we couldn't have asked for more 😊 The food maintained that standard throughout our 3 courses. Two small criticisms, the crab was slightly overpowered by cumin (but all plates were cleaned!) and the falafel was... More

I attended this restaurant as part of group at a conference event. We all had an absolutely wonderful evening. The staff are really attentive and full of good recommendations. The menu was really nice, a great variety of dishes, executed to perfection. Everyone in our party of 16 was very satisfied! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and would... More

Enjoyed my night out here last week. The service is a little slow but staff were very friendly. I had monkfish which was probably the best monkfish I have eaten. My only criticism was that the dish only comes with veg and mash or any type of potato was extra. My friends also were very happy with their meals. It's... More

Had a lovely meal in restaurant on 28th Jan. Crab tostados to start were very different and a really tasty starter.Monkfish for main course was a smallish portion but actually was sufficient to be satisfied. No chocolate tart left so we decided against dessert. Long narrow room with tapas bar at one end. Comfortable.

Restaurant was very close to our hotel and was recommended by friends. Food was really good and they change the menus regularly the owner told us. Staff were friendly.

A recent meal for two at Jacques was a comedy of errors without the laughter.... A simple meal of tapas took over 3 hours due to the abysmal service. Our selected wine was 'plonked' on the table - normally customers are asked to sample their choice but this was not the case here... first order of tapas never got to... More

We went for some tapas and wine on a saturday evening. The restaurant it is really cosy and sexy relax atmosphere. First wine i tried while waiting for a table was just ok. Second wine i tried was amazing, but sadly they didn't have more than half a glass, so they served me half a glass (for free) nice! but... More
