Went to the Sussex by recommendation after the restaurant we had booked had to close for the evening due to electrical works. This restaurant had friendly staff and the food was wonderful.

The Sussex is upstairs from O’Brien’s Pub. Lovely warm welcome. Steaks and burgers are the most popular dishes from the open kitchen. Good choice of other Irish dishes as well. There is a choice of specials as well which are displayed on the blackboard

Would highly recommend! Smoked haddock starter in particular brilliant. Desert a little over done but no biggie!

Yeah, that tells everything: the food was very delicious including the starter and the Braised lamb, but the wine selection turned out to be the right choice, too, with the Hungarian red one (Bikaver). Besides, very friendly service ready to recommend the next pick.

Hi, We are happy to cater for young families. However, we are situated upstairs. Also, we don't open for lunch at the weekends.
