Entered this place looking forward to having a good time. After looking around for no more than a minute, a bar tender approached us asking in an obnoxiously rude and loud voice "you've checked out the place now go buy a drink. " Enough said.

This bar/restaurant over looks the canal. The 3rd floor balcony of the restaurant portion has a great view. Prices are average for the area. Food is very good and they often have live music. Great vibe and good service.

We were looking for a place for a typical Irish breakfast and happened upon the Merchant's Arch. Breakfast was terrific, eggs, blood sausage, sausage, beans, tomato, etc. The staff was so very pleasant. I loved the decor and would definitely return.
