I'm a regular visitor of Mao Donnybrook and the staff are usually very friendly. I either get the chicken cashew or sweet and sour. They have a decent portion size and so you are never left hungry. The meals are all very tasty and the takeaway service is always on time.

Cheap and cheerful! Great value lunch deals, adequate portions. Well balanced flavours for this type of outlet. Basically it "does what it says on the tin"

I am from singapore and well craving for asian food. Go during lunch takeaway bowls(12-5pm). Its cheaper than the main restaurants. Portions are huge. Well i finished it myself hahaha. Anyway i ate singapore noodles the other time. Wanted to try what was it. Curry powder with noodles. Food was ok for a quick asian fix. I like the tomyum... More

I've ate here a few times but have waited until I've had a few visits before doing review. I'm not very adventurous and always have the chicken chow mein. They pack a lot into the little carton and its always been very tasty. It's a bit expensive at practically €12, about €10 would be more realistic. Overall though very tasty.

We ordered last night the first time from the place and it was not even remotely to the expected standard. We had Pad Thai noodles and what was supposed to be shredded duck, was duck cut into pieces and some of the meat even had the pinfeathers left on the duck skin. I am certain this was the worst shredded... More

For the second time in past month I went to eat in at the basic bar seating after a training in the gym- so I was very hungry. I ordered Tom Yum Soup with prawns, and Pad Thai with Tofu. I asked them to make sure both were well-spiced. Both dishes were freshly cooked in a matter of minutes and... More

I called tonight with my partner to get our usual Friday night mao. I fancied a change as I eat the same dish every time I go! To my delight I seen some new special dishes on the dishes Board. Like everything on the menu. Each dish was named with terminology I had never heard of. So I had no... More

Absolutely awful, worst Asian take away I've had for ages. The whole point of this food is that it's supposed to be cooked fresh with fresh ingredients. I had the Thai chilli chicken with basil. The reheated chicken was hard and salty, barely a vegetable in there. My wife had the Chow Mein which was equally bad. Bland, stale food.... More

Had a takeaway this evening from Mao at Home Donnybrook - in comparison with its competitors (Diep le Shaker, Kanum Thai, Neon), the food was very poor. Bland, cheap, ingredients served up by disinterested, incompetent staff. Had the special Kung Poo Chicken which was poor accompanied by squid fried in batter which was swimming in fat and cooking oil, truly... More
