Smyth's Pub has the look and feel of an Irish pub. We stopped in for dinner and was surprised to see pork chops on the menu--something we haven't seen in a while. The pork chop was nicely grilled, served on a fluffy bed of mashed potatoes accompanied with some side veggies. My companion ordered the salmon but the server got... More

Good place for a few drinks with the crowd from work. Roomy with a good sized and heated beer garden/smoking area. Bar food is good and mains are under €10 - had chicken curry with rice and chips for €9.95 - very tasty

My husband and I were staying at the Hampton Hotel and Smyth's was recommended to us as a great local pub. We walked over there and was not disappointed. The night before we were at the touristy bar area -Temple Bar - and did not like the crowds. We may have been the only tourists in the pub. We had... More

It's a very nice Pub where locals go, so not touristy. We had one of the best burgers I ever tasted (and I tasted a lot of them). Irish stew was wonderful, great portion, tender meat, just perfect, Lasagna also tasty. Guinness and other beers didn't disappoint either, of course. Prices better than most of the Pubs visited in Dublin.... More

Great pub, good food and friendly staff. Lovely beer garden at the back. Old style decoration. Good pub for watching sport or just for pints. Beer garden is lovely especially on the sunny days,

I called today to book a table for four. As a regular of Smyths I thought it would be a great place to have celebratory drinks but with a statement like this; I quickly changed my mind about the place; Me: Can I reserve a table for 4 for the 18th Smyths: One moment & I'll get the book Smyths:... My wife and I put our bags down in our room and wanted to find the classes pub. We walked down the street and found the gem. The most friendly place I have been in Dublin. They made us feel very welcome. The food was good but the Guinness was better. Cold, dark and smooth. I can't wait to go... More

For a piece of country in The Big City Smyths can't be beaten. It's easy for this GAA steeped pub to rein in lots of country headsweek in week out. Nice cosy feel and somehow enjoyable summer and winter even though it's a tad dark!!

There is nothing flashy or touristy about this pub but the staff are lovely, the pints are good and the food is hearty and good quality. What more do you want?
