We came here for a Sunday Roast and were not disappointed. The food was good and of a generous size. Service was friendly and it wasn't too busy so we were able to enjoy our meal. It had an authentic feel to the pub.

Typical Irish bar, attentive staff and tasty food. The Burger is a monster, delicious. Nice pint of Guiness, good selection on draught too.

Usually go for a Beamish and regularly went there for the quiet pint. They got rid of the tap and staff decided to joke about it rather than explain why. Terrible trend.

A long time since I've been to this pub. I wanted two things .... the loo, and something to eat. Both needs satisfied! Did you know you can have a 'small' carvery plate ... lesser, but very adequate portions. I had the ham, mash, cabbage and a very nice parsley sauce. Exceptionally flavoursome, even the (greens are good for you)... More

After walking around looking in on several restaurants and leaving, we entered The Duke. We were greeted with a warm smile by a sweetheart of a young lady. We both ordered the Irish stew and a Guiness. The stew was both plentiful and delicious. The lamb was tender, flavourful, and a generous portion of the serving. The price was reasonable... More
