So so so disappointed tonight. I used to be a massive fan of Charlie's and would visit the one on Weatmorland street regularly. Hadn't been back in a while and tried it tonight. I was incredibly disappointed. I got the Singapore fried rice. First off, they wrongly arranged for takeaway despite ordering for eat-in. When I said I was eating-in... More

Great place for a fast meal before hitting Temple Bar. Friendly skilled staff. An extra plus for the gluten free alternative.

I've visited this establishment and it's sister restaurants numerous times over the years as after a few drinks I much prefer something Asian over the usual burger or kebab. However this place is really really bad. I know it makes its money at the end of the night shovelling out curries and 3'n1's (rice, chips and curry sauce all together)... More

Had char kway teow and beef in kingdo sauce. Kingdo sauce was a little too over very strong. Char kway teow was decent. Closest to what u can get to eat in penang. But nothing beats authentic ckt in penang though

Simple asian meals quick and easy. The place is very casual. Food taste like home (Malaysia and Hong Kong) styled cooking. Its convinent and inexpensive for a nice hot meal. Will surely come again next time am around.

We were surprised to see a menu including char kway teow and nasi lemak in a fast food joint and because we lived in Penang most of last year, we stopped for a meal. We ordered the aforementioned dishes as well as chips smothered in curry. The char kway teow was pretty decent and evoked memories of my favorite street... More

We so wanted to try this establishment. But on entering it, discovered that it was a fast food café. Even though it advertised a wide selection of South East Asian dishes, it was run by non English speaking Chinese. We left the restaurant in favour of not risking what we were going to get. The restaurant was generally clean but... More

The staff are nice and friendly but the food on my last visit just didn't work. It wasn't much like the last time, even though it was the same dish. I'm afraid to say it, but this is my last visit to Charlie's
