Three of us enjoyed dinner at The Bull & Castle on a Sunday evening; we dropped by without reservations (on our way to a concert at Vicar Street), but were told that we could eat in the bar area upstairs, which suited us fine. The menu has a lot of great choices; between us, we can report that the charcuterie... More

We were a group of 7 here for lunch. The oxtail pie was absolutely delicious and worth the wait. The wait being 1-hour. The restaurant was not busy, so I don't know what took them so long. My friend took a steak medium-rare which came back well-done, she sent it back and had to wait another 15min for them to... More

If you are a meat lover then this is definitely the place for you. Great selection of dry-aged steaks to choose from. The steaks take a while to be prepared but it's worth the wait. The environment is also nice so I recommend this place for sure.

Make sure you get a reservation if you are going on a Weekend. We were lucky enough to get one, but not until 9:30 on a Friday night - called on a Thursday evening. The Rib Eye was great and the other food looked really good too. They know how to cook it just right. The deserts were great. Pricey,... More

We called in here for dinner on our first night in Dublin. The food was lovely, and they went out of the way to find something for my fussy son to eat. My husband said it was the best steak he had ever eaten. I ordered the oxtail and steak pie which was also delicious. Please be aware although the... More

I was really disappointed with my visit since I've had very positive experiences in other fx buckley's restaurants. The quality of the steaks was excellent but 2 out 3 of the steaks terms were wrong, one under and the other over cooked. Service felt rushed and impersonal. At the end our check had errors (did not said anything since it... More

Want a really really good steak? Here they bring you the different available cuts on a board to make selection easier. Good waiter. Nice pint of Guinness. Food excellent. Lighting adequate. A little on the high side price wise but you absolutely get what you pay for. Well worth a visit.

I have been on several business trips to Dublin, and always try to make it back to the Bull & Castle. Food is consistently delicious, and the people working there are always very helpful and accommodating!
