insomnia is very busy with few seats and tables. It is not always possible to obtain a seat with your friend . The coffee is good. It is in the same building as Meadows and Byrne, Viking Marine and the gym. Upstairs is the Pavilion...More

We stopped here after a windy walk on the pier and were happy to try the Thai beef and noodle soup. A great decision. Bowls of flavoursome beef and vegetables were just what we needed to warm us up. Only down side was the bread...More

Dun Laoghaire is full of Coffee Stops. Insomnia is special as it is located on the sea front within the Meadows & Byrne shop - but with its own outdoor seating area with parasols out front. In the Summer, this makes it a great place...More

Ok for a quick coffee and somewhere to take the kids and linger and not be told off for taking too long. It's always busy and you can look around the shop if the weather is bad.

I popped in for a morning coffee. As well as the seating inside in the cafe there's a seating area outside I recommend this on a dry day - lovely view, relaxing. Watch the world go by. Enjoyable Fairtrade coffee.

Insomnia have good deals on buying a sandwich or a cake with any size coffee, and you don't have to wait for the sandwich to be prepared, but, some people think that their coffee is slightly burnt tasting?

Not the best coffee. I had an Americano and I like it black & mean with a bit of a crema on top...this was watery with no crema and no kick!

This is really a Meadows and Byrne with an Insomnia in it, rather than the other way round. The cafe is small but service is good and if it's a nice day there is plenty of room to sit outside close to the sea in...More
