I was in Galway but a little less than a week, and found myself coming back to The Quays a few times after dinner for some drinks with friends. It had great live music and while it was always busy, there was always space for our group. The Quays had a very nice casual and fun atmosphere for conversation and... More

I always come here for a drink when in galway but this time was the worst. I love the layout of the bars and the bands here. This time around i arrived with another couple after a meal for a drink. Had 2 drinks in the bar and couldnt wait to leave. There was a bar man that was there... More

This is a long standing family favourite. It's quirky, serves good Guinness and lunch. The place it worth a visit just to see it but as you're there you may as well enjoy lunch and a pint.

We have been travelling around Ireland for the past ten days and decided to give The Quays a go for dinner for our only night in Galway. What a disappointment. We decided to have the two courses for 20 euro each option. Starters were below average at best - a handful of fried mushrooms sitting on a huge pile of... More

My friends and I visited this restaurant during our day trip to the Cliffs. We stopped here for a late lunch (or an early dinner). The oysters taste great! However, the entrees we tried (Boiled bacon, Beef stew and lamb) were just average.

Maybe there is a different listing for the pub and I might be doing this review in the wrong arena. We were with a tour group with The Elders and The Moxie Strings who had a gig here. We didn't eat here but the pints were flowing! The atmosphere here is amazing. Lots of items from a church that was... More

This is a review of the bar/ late bar not the restaurant or food. We spent an evening here in November 2016, as a large group we all arrived together but had no problems with door staff, we were welcomed with open arms but when we walked in all of us gagged with the smell, somewhere between rotten eggs and... Went to the Quays on Thursday 3rd Dec for some dinner. Opted for carvery downstairs, huge menu with all the usual Irish fare. We grabbed our trays and chose our meals, the chef and waitresses were great and told us to return to our table to relax and then they brought our meals over. The staff are very nice and... More
