My daughter had the oysters and mussels, She stated they were delicious. Service was great. Easy to get into. Small area, but we went early. The fish cakes were awesome.

Unpretentious but absolutely delicious and very knowledgeable and efficient. You will know you made a wise choice when you see the multiple organizational awards outside below the windows. You probably won't get in without having made a reservation )by phone) at least the day before, and for the weekends earlier than that. (At least 10 walk-ins were sent packing in... More

Wonderful seafood simply prepared. I had the hake on a bed of champ and green vegetables. No need to do too much to such wonderful ingredients and Oscar's do just the right amount to enhance the flavours. I just have one small quibble, they do an early bird, 2 courses €18.50, excellent value, but there is no flexibility about the... More

Three of us ate here last night and I ordered cod which was under cooked and came with a very small portion of potato. Between three of us we were given one very small portion of vegetable which was not adequate for three people. Overall we were disappointed with food and service.

This is probably the highlight of my Galway food experience and most likely one of the best seafood meals I had I my life. You need to try it and make sure you call ahead and reserve a seating

Best seafood I have ever had in Ireland. The restaurant was small and busy so unless you arrive at 6 p.m., better book a table before coming. We had fish cakes, grilled haddock, monkfish and mussels which were catch of the day. Very very fresh, flavorful and yummy. Finished with trio of creme brulee (normal, with Bailey's and with apple)... More

We had a wonderful dinner at Oscars. We started with the best oysters we have ever had and then had the cod and the haddock. The wind choices were great and well priced. We finished with a lovely desert. The staff were great and very friendly

For €85 we had two starters, two mains and a nice bottle of French wine. The seafood chowder was rich and full of fresh seafood. We each had fish from the specials board, one monkfish and one lemon sole. Both were nicely done with intense and interesting sauces that added to the flavors. The accompanying vegetables (kale, fennel and broccoli)... More

We found this lovely restaurant on trip advisor and it didn't disappoint . The service and the food was amazing . I had oysters to start followed by the monkfish to finish . My partner was so overwhelmed . Chianti to wash it down a long with a lovely waitress to assist us in discussion making as I wanted to... More

Visited about a month ago on a Friday night, only made a reservation that morning and wasn't surprised to find that they had a table but only after 8, after all they are one of the highest rated seafood restaurants in Galway! Arrived about 15 minutes early for our booking to an almost completely empty restaurant, perhaps everyone from the... More
