I have been to this restaurant several times both as casual diners and for special occasions. It has never disappointed. The restaurant is a fish lovers delight although they cater to all tastes. I have tried the starters, mains and deserts and all beautiful. If I could, I would love to work with the chef for free as I am... More

Oscar's was a lovely find. Thought we'd try it after seeing it listed in one of our travel guides. It's worth every minute of the experience if you're wlling to do a little walking. It's very smart to make a reservation if you're planning on dinner after 7pm. Wait staff are excellent, quick, and know about the food they're serving.... More

on arrival we were given a choice of where to sit, quiet near the back or toward the front in the busy section. We sat near the front. The attention from the staff was great without being in your face. They were ready to answer any queries about the menu. I went for one of the specials and it was... More

First, reality check! On first night 6:30 pm, we were turned away due to without reservation. So right away, we made reservation for next night 5:30 pm. Next night, while we were waiting for food, we saw at least 3 parties without reservation were not seated. Some of them made reservation on the spot. Shortly after, another party came and... More

If you like seafood, head to Oscar's. They offer lots of great choices. Everything was delicious and service was good. One of the best meals we had in Ireland.

My husband and I ate here in Mid August. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. For starters I had potted crab, very good but i did think that there was a slight over use of the spring onion which dampened the flavour of the crab, hubby had the fish cakes, they were very good too. We both had the monfish,... More

Introduced my cousin to oysters for the first time in Galway and they did not disappoint here! Some of the best I have ever had. Food was beautifully presented, filling, but not huge portions. Really a perfect dining experience. We were the last two in the restaurant and didn't feel pressured to finish at all. Very enjoyable.

First things first- the food here is delicious. We had the oysters to start (to be honest I'm not sure you can get that wrong in Galway), and then I had the monkfish in a chorizo and tomato sauce. Beautifully cooked, delicious flavours- I enjoyed it immensely. There was plenty on the menu, and a few specials to choose from.... More

One of the best meals we had anywhere in Ireland- amazing seafood. It seems like you should make a reservation, but we were lucky and walked in just as they had a cancellation on a Wednesday night. Had amazing mussels, cod with pesto, a lovely rose wine, good oysters, and excellent creme brulee. More interesting and unique than fish and... More

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel we stayed in and it was delicious. We couldn't find one fault with our meal and great value for money for what you get. Plus we loved the atmosphere - nice and relaxed and not too formal. a must visit while in galway!!
