Myself & my fiancé both loved Cronin's. Hearty, home-cooked food on a winter's night, exactly what we wanted. Delicious food, great atmosphere and charming service in a restaurant that has all the personal touches of a well-run family restaurant. The seafood chowder was the best I've had, packed with fresh fish. And the Shepherd's Pie was just what the doctor... More

Stumbled across this restaurant during our visit to Killarney Town Centre and certainly were not let down. We are a family of five (ages 7, 4 & new born) and were given a perfect spot upstairs in the corner. The kids loved their chicken nuggets while my wife and I thought the lamb and salmon were absolutely fantastic. The sticky... More

Visited Cronin's on a Tuesday with three friends. It was very busy, which is always a good sign, but the service didn't suffer. The chowder was absolutely excellent, one of the nicest I've tasted, the seafood tagliatelle was also very good. I had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was slightly disappointing and the only reason why I didn't... More

Ordinary looking place from the outside but we were made immediately welcome by a very friendly efficient waiter. Food was excellent starters with sea food and steak dinners couldn't manage a dessert. We met the owner who should be very proud of his business. Definitely going back there on our next trip.

The food here was wonderful and the service was great too. I ordered the shepherds pie which was very tasty and filling. It seemed like the place had both tourists and many locals, which is always a sign of a good restaurant! Our waitress was lovely, very friendly and did not rush us at all. They had free wi-fi which... More

We went in there since it has been rated quite good on Tripadvisor. However, we found it just average. The vegetarian options were very limited and not pretty good in taste. The service was friendly tough, but took a bit longer.

This place became the final stop in our trip around the Dingle peninsula and Ring of Kerry and it served well as the cherry on top of the cake. Everything we chose - from chowder to steak - was really good and the atmosphere added its bit to the good vibe we felt while enjoying the meal. Finally, from the... More

History of Cronin’s RestaurantIn 1957 Johnny and Noreen Cronin opened a small lodging house down Clover Lane. Noreen who worked as a cook for a brief period in London decided to use her talents in the kitchen serving lunches for local factory worker. At the time it was quite a small operation with Noreen and Johnny doing the cooking the serving and the wash up . As time went by the Cronin family Grew and Sisters Joan, Katherine, Helen, Norma along with their brother Pat all began to work in the lodging house. In 1977 after realising the popularity of there lunches Johnny and Noreen took the decision to buy a small thatched cottage on College street and turn it into Cronins Restaurant. In 1996 Johnny and Noreen’s son Pat took over the business full time to ensure the family tradition continued. Today much has changed has changed in the Cronins but much of the ideals which Johnny and Norreen had when they first opened in 1957 remain the same , good quality food in a friendly family atmosphere, and with their children and grandchildren still working in the restaurant these ideals shall remain the same.
