My friend and I had dinner at the Porterhouse last week. It was my favorite meal of our trip. I had crab legs and they were delicious.

The place was packed so we sat at the bar while we waited for our table. The atmosphere was very jovial. Everyone was drinking pints and enjoying each other. Here, everyone was a friend. When we were seated at our table, we were treated to awesome food. Though it was pub food, it was elevated. Great service, too. I highly... More

while this pub has a great ambiance, the fish and chips were a big let down, very greasy and soggy, and expensive for what it was. good live music though

We had to wait for a table which was less then they they had advised and we are so glad that we did as we was in no way disappointed. The Irish stew was amazing while the steak sandwich was the best my partner had had he said. We didn't have enough room for pudding but what we saw looked... More

Stopped in here last week for a quick bite before a night on the town. Arrived at 5:15 and the place pretty full but the lovely waitress got the 7 of us a table fairly quickly. Had the chicken wings & steak sandwich with a side of Onion rings. Food was very nice particularly the steak. Onion weren't the tastiest... More

People arrived early and it was busy. But it had a good buzz about it and the staff were attentive and pleasant. The food was really good. Really delicious. There was live music also which probably accounted for some of the crowd. We had a good night.

Beautifully presented delicious food but a very noisy environment. Maybe we were unlucky with the night as there was a large party next to our table. We asked to be moved but it was not possible. If it is a pub scene you are looking for with music after and very tasty food it is the place for you

This restaurant is located in a new pub but it has an olde-world feel about it with a lot of historical photos and memorabilia on the walls. The meal portions were acceptable but not large. Food was very fresh and they state it is locally sourced. Staff friendly and helpful. There was a singer/guitarist performing Irish songs and ballads, and... More

The Porterhouse Pub was teeming with activity and atmosphere. From the Irish guitarist/singer, fast moving servers and enthusiastic customers, this place rocked. The pub symbolized my understanding of an Irish pub. Just perfect. From the food to other customers it was a real treat. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone traveling through Killarney.

My wife and I had fish and chips (we have boiled potato instead of chips) many times during our two weeks traveling in Ireland. The fish at the Porterhouse was by far the best of the trip. In fact, it was so good we came back the next night and had it again.
