An unusual combo. We enjoyed the beats of Ireland presentation and my kids learned to play the bodhran. Dissapointingly the bar staff was not nearly as friendly when we tried to stop in to hear music but we didn't let that spoil our good time.

Food was average but the music made it worth while. Price was also reasonable. We had the Bangers and mash and the haddock -salmon cakes with sweet chili. We ate early before the crowd but still enjoyed the music.

Recommended by Gate 1 (John) and shop owner. Food looked good. Only time for a beer but lots of character!!

We went to the 6.30 music/storytelling slot. You have to have supper (which is not unreasonable) in order to watch the music. Food was average but the music made it worth while. Price was also reasonable

We Visited Between the Smithwick's Tour in the Morning and Castle in the Afternoon. Lovely Bar with Super Staff in a Fantastic Location.

We went to Kilkenny Castle and wanted a quick lunch break. This place was recommended by a local. Food was good, we had Irish lamb stew, fish and chips, chicken. Serving was just right and it was a good value. Nothing stood out to me...More

Went there on our last night. Big place. Not as much atmosphere as the other pubs, but the food was good.

This is like a step back in time. The restaurant is in the centuries old building and very quaint inside. The food and drinks were great and the music was excellent.

This is a great place to have lunch after your tour of Smithwicks Brewery. Kyteler's is a very historic inn filled with stories, memorabilia and stonework from many earlier centuries. Follow all that with a plate of bangers and mash with mushy peas and I...More

I agree. We went on a Saturday night in March and had no problem. However, during the summer months it may be very crowded.

Description
Medieaval building in the heart of Kilkenny dating back to 1324. Once home to Dame Alice Kyteler tried for witchcraft. Kytelers Inn is NOT a restaurant but a Pub - which is our main business. Yes we also serve bar food. There are three floors with four bars - cheek them all out for the one that suits. On offer at peak season twice nightly from 6.30pm. is a programme of trad music, balladeer, irish dancers & seanachie. You can watch & eat & drink at your leisure.Weekends and Bank holidays we also have Late Bar extensions with bands & DJ for those that want to party a bit later into the night. As it was in Alice Kyteler's day - Kyteler's Inn is a place for "merrie making" - Come and visit us to find out more..Also check us out - Trip Advisor Bars/Nightlife
