This restaurant was recommended to us by both our guide book and the hotel. We heard that they had good pub food so we decided to try it for dinner. We arrived around 8:00 PM. Although it was busy, it is quite a big place...More

Fascinating story behind the building. Dinner was decent; large portions. The main level was devoted to people watching the last game of the World Cup. We sat upstairs and listened to the live Irish music; first chance to do so on our Irish tour. Great...More

Lovely old building but very cheesy and is targeted at the tourist. Meal was ok but wouldn’t go again.

Poor, oversold, drink is tepid, food far too expensive. Can be really noisy, a lot of ordinary level music, a bit too much boom boom. But the witch legend is very real history.

I love the history behind Kyteler’s Inn and how that information is presented through the decor and menus. The food was good and served quickly.

I agree. We went on a Saturday night in March and had no problem. However, during the summer months it may be very crowded.

Medieaval building in the heart of Kilkenny dating back to 1324. Once home to Dame Alice Kyteler tried for witchcraft. Kytelers Inn is NOT a restaurant but a Pub - which is our main business. Yes we also serve bar food. There are three floors with four bars - cheek them all out for the one that suits. On offer at peak season twice nightly from 6.30pm. is a programme of trad music, balladeer, irish dancers & seanachie. You can watch & eat & drink at your leisure.Weekends and Bank holidays we also have Late Bar extensions with bands & DJ for those that want to party a bit later into the night. As it was in Alice Kyteler's day - Kyteler's Inn is a place for "merrie making" - Come and visit us to find out more..Also check us out - Trip Advisor Bars/Nightlife
