I made a booking for afternoon tea about 4 weeks ago for 16th March. When we arrived they could not find my booking. We were a party of six and at the time of booking I said that we would have two children with us so we may not need a tea each. After waiting for 20 minutes for a... More

We had dinner here- the trout and scallop starter lovely, except the scallop was just a sliver! Duck perfect. Cod very tasty. Crème brulee perfectly cooked. It was busy, so all credit to everyone involved. We had breakfast here on two mornings. We preferred the 'cold' on the second morning, tho' ended up with smoked salmon and scrambled egg-lovely! Thank... More

This restaurant offers excellent food, which is well presented and served by friendly efficient staff. I give it 5 stars because I really really enjoyed it. Staff - take a bow!

The service in La Perla was very bad. The staff were racing around avoiding eye contact with diners and they were very slow. Also our bill was miscalculated and we had to wait in a queue with other diners who were also charged incorrectly. Very disappointing.

We found that the table beside us were quaffing free wine and waxing about what wines might suit a wedding all the time we were eating.

The food was good but a tad expensive for what was served. The wine served was lovely but the coffee wasn't good. Staff were lovely
