Waited 45 minutes to be served. The food was delicious once it came but after waiting so long, it was hard to enjoy. General staff service could really be improved. Simple things like not being asked if we wanted drinks while we waited... Would consider...More

Ate here as part of the In Humbert's Footsteps Festival. Absolutely gorgeous meal, lovely chicken in mushroom sauce. All my party enjoyed their meals. Lovely dining area. Spent a pleasant evening in the bar afterwards.

Family of six, the restaurant was not busy, however, we had to wait ten minutes for someone to bring drinks etc despite the hum of a dishwasher being emptied in the background! The girl who served us was lovely, despite the fact that we were...More

Good choices on the menu but the food served can be hit and miss. The service is consistently below average, with the food sometimes being served cold.

We ended up in Cox's after a full day of sight seeing and driving. The dinner of steak we had at Cox's is one of the most memorable meals of our entire trip. I actually wish I could teleport back there some evenings just to...More

We went somewhere else first, but without reservations they couldn't seat us. So we walked out onto the street and asked a local for a recommendation......and she said to try Cox. We were very happy that she did. The inside reminds me of being in...More

Enjoyed dinner here. We went for the early bird menu which was two courses for fifteen euros. The food was just sumptuous and the ambience at Cox's is just great. It is like an olde world restaurant. Loved it and will be back.

Do you do a ribeye steak

Response from Sheri A | Reviewed this property |
Yes, all three of us had the ribeye steak. It was one of the best meals, if not the best, I had in all of Ireland during my visit. Cox's takes great pride in the quality of their food and it shows.
