If there was the option I would give 3.5 as the food was above average. The place itself is nice for tourists. The man behind the bar is friendly & welcoming. We were sat in the back area which is neither in the bar nor is it like a restaurant. Good choice in the menu & the food is good... More

We'd read a previous review from someone lamenting that this isn't really suitable for children - well, that was good enough for us, we're thoroughly fed up with evenings spoilt by unruly Tarquins with no parental control! We'd a great evening here, the welcome was warm, the service was personal and the food was lovely. It's a pub; there were... More

Arrived late on Mother's Day for dinner. We got a table in the small snug on the right hand side of the bar where there was one other party dining at the same time. The bar and restaurant had been extremely busy all day with families dining out. Some of the items on the set menu had sold out due... More

Great little pub for delicious pub grub and friendly atmosphere. The coffee is great and the owner is a great host.

If you're exploring the west of Ireland, do yourself a favour and stop by the Sheebeen for a pint. Or better still, a lovely meal on Friday, Saturday or Sunday (more days in summer). The character of the pub, the cosy and friendly atmosphere, the service and quality of the food is terrific. I love it. And the view and... More

An absolute gem of a place! I had a really bad experience with another establishment nearer Westport town today with a meal of mussels, this superb little gastropub restored my faith in Westport, delicious fish and chips and gorgeous cooked to order succulent mussels made my partners birthday lunch very special. Thank you Cronin`s, we will be back!!

We had read and heard quite good things about this venue, and so, in early January, as we wanted to share an enjoyable evening with "Old Friends", we thought this would surely be a good place to go for Dinner as a Foursome - maybe it was just the wrong time of year, or we picked the wrong night, but,... This pub is situated in the most beautiful bay just outside Westport and is a lively traditional pub. We had dinner there, the food is good pub food but nothing extraordinary. I would recommend a visit to this friendly pub if you are in the area
