I notice that this is number 6 in all the restaurants in Waterford and from my experience this is well deserved. Very good food, reasonable prices, efficient and friendly service, a lovely atmosphere in this nicely fitted out venue. Need I say any more. Well done to all. We had a fabulous meal in Bodega - lovely staff, tasty food and a cosy and romantic atmosphere. The salt cod and nduja fishcake starter was absolutely divine - it was served with roast tomato ketchup and peppers and absolutely zinging with flavour.

A wonderful place not to miss if you're around Waterford. The restaurant is vibrant, the staff is professional and nice. You cannot go wrong with the pork or the beef/lamb burger. Highly recommended!

With a celiac in our group of five, we'd spotted this place on the celiac advice sheet, and a trip to the museum planned, it seemed the ideal place to try. We weren't disappointed and are from the lighter side of the menu. Staff attentive and efficient and everyone's food was perfect. Crab sandwiches, quiche, etc all lovely and the... More

Had dinner here last night, fish cakes for me and sliders, husband has risotto and brill for main. No fish in fish cakes, just potatoe, maybe just was well because my husband ran to our toilet the second we got home. Not sure which course was worse, maybe the chef had the night off. Lamb slider was like something from... More

Visited here on a Saturday night with a group of girls and enjoyed fabulous food and wonderful service. Staff were so helpful and food was amazing, don't miss the dessert menu. Luckily we had reserved in advance as there was no room for walk ins.

The atmosphere in this little restaurant is electric. The food is beautiful and service spot on. The only negative think i can say is the desserts are not the same class as the starter and main. Would deffo recommend and will deffo be back.

Exactly as my titles says. The attitude of our waitress was appalling - almost like she could not be bothered with us. We were in Ireland for a few days and I can hand on heart say that she was the worst we had. She wasn't Irish but fortunately a lovely Irish girl came along and saved the day for... More

You can't go wrong with Bodega. My husband and I like to come here for a rare, spoiled treat for special occasions. We always get the 8oz steak with pepper sauce and have always been impressed with the quality of food, great service, and delicious wine. Highly recommend.

Description
Listed in The McKenna Guide Best 100 Restaurants in Ireland 2014.In the heart of Waterford City is a restaurant that champions the local food experience. Vaguely Spanish in decor with a funky eclectic mix of food and ambiance that may well be described as Mediterranean. Most definitely, not a conventional Irish restaurant experience. Critics and regulars alike acknowledge this place is fun and different. With early bird menus from €20, this is an affordable treat in a relaxed atmosphere. But it's worth persevering according to the critics:" With its warm Mediterranean colour, this place would bring the sun out on the darkest of days" Georgina Campbell "Much loved menu that hits all the right buttons" The Irish Times"It's a dream vision of owners - Cormac & Donagh - who stamp their left field imprimatur on the excellent food & the fine drinks that make folk flock here in their droves" John & Sally McKenna"Bodega! Gives the taste of the med, and also the vigour & joie de vivre of the med" Bridgestone Guide
