The hook and ladder is a nice modern coffee shop that also sells some craft like wares. Table waiting is not an option here which is a pity as there is generally a long queue followed by seeking out a table as their tables are limited. This is unfortunate as it detracts from the food which is good. They serve... More

Roisin and her friend have just finished two day cookery course for kids in Limerick. They had a fab time, baked loads of lovely goodies that they are now mad to try at home. They loved Rosemary, a great teacher and great fun. Excellent course, great value for money, makes a lovely gift for any little baker. Highly recommend.

Absolutely appalling attitude from vast majority of staff. We visited for brunch and had food and coffees. Unfortunately our whole table were accused of not paying for one cup of coffee even though everyone had their receipt showing otherwise. Instead of just bringing out the missing coffee one very rude individual went back behind the till and starting mouthing about... More

Consistently good food. Great place to meet for a coffee, cake portions are huge!!! It is very busy, but that reflects the quality you get. Well worth stopping off there.

Myself and my husband had a sandwich here last week and 2 coffees, was the toasted special and ham and cheese, we were shocked at how small is was, and for the price, one special and one ham and cheese and 2 small lattes cost us €19.10, so mean and it didn't even taste nice. We even took a picture... More

The idea behind cafehome is to showcase a number of various store concepts under the one brand, with each individual concept retaining its own individual ethos and style. The first of these concepts is Hook & Ladder, where we’ve created a unique atmosphere with expertly trained staff, showcasing a broad range of Irish artisan foods, plus a range of furniture and accessories. One truly unique aspect to Hook & Ladder is that all the café fittings – from the cutlery & crockery, to the seats you sit on – are available for purchase.
