Called in with my family for a treat whilst staying in Harrogate. Wonderful surroundings, quality and service. A visit to Bettys is, in my opinion, a must do. I was taken by my parents, and it was lovely to take my children. The quality is great, as are the surroundings. It is a bit expensive, but worth it for the... More

First time in the Harrogate Betty's. Same friendly staff, scrummy desserts and the steak sandwich and the fish au gratin with home made chutneys were delicious. Will be back.

Nice enough Tea Rooms, but I thought a little over priced for what you got. Also a little annoying as a group of 8 of us couldn't book a table in advance, so we got there early and it still took half an hour for a table big enough to be available. Just didn't live up to expectations.

Went with some friends today. We ordered afternoon tea with some glasses of prosseco. The sandwiches were lovely with nice fillings, fruit scones and fresh fruit tarts were tasty and the tea was a delightful blend. The macaroons were "tasteless" according to my friend and the thin slices of chocolate cake were really quite dry - disappointing really. The service... More

There's plenty around Harrogate that are just as good. But go to say you have been I guess! It's all very nice and the quality is brilliant but there's plenty close to it for a lot cheaper

Clearly a staple for the blue rinse brigade, yet undoubtedly very very good. If you can avoid the queues it's a great venue, though i do prefer the other one just out of town for this reason. Also great is the deli counter, possibly better than the actual tea rooms.

Had a brilliant afternoon tea, in the downstairs restaurant served by authentic waitresses wearing Victorian dress. Exquisite food and Timothy Taylor's Landlord too Bonus!!

shared a main meal and a pudding - both excellent - not bad value considering the service and quality - be warned - cake trolley is far too tempting

It was excellent as you would expect. Top quality ingredients were used and the service was very good. Be prepared to queue but it is worth it.
