Great Staff, Great food. This is the best place in Derby for breakfast without a doubt. Easy going, relaxed friendly staff. Fantastic start to the day. Kitchen breakfast is the way to go.

Two of us had lunch here today and it was lovely to choose things that were just a little bit different from other menus. Yes, they've got sandwiches and paninis etc like most places but they also have some delicious alternatives. Added to which the cakes looked delicious and had we had more time we'd definitely have indulged ourselves with... More

Found this place when wandering in Derby and called in for a late morning coffee. It has a wonderful atmosphere and great buzz. The coffee was delicious and the food looked really tasty, but we were booked in elsewhere for lunch so had to forgo trying anything out. Next time we will have lunch there

Visited here today on a two day trip. Was very surprised to see someone writ it was a "dreadful experience" as we found the opposite. On entering the staff were very welcoming and helped us move tables to get our pushchair in. Good was lovely and we could see the chef cooking it. My little boy had the fish fingers,... More

Came in for lunch with my mum. Staff standing around not doing much. Then when it came to the food the quality was poor, the food was cold, fries were soggy and just not good. My mother informed me her 'turkey' panini was lacking turkey. Bill came to £20 for 2 coffees and 2 paninis. Can't think of a more... More

Dear Dom1996, thank you for your review and I am really sorry to hear you feel we didn't do as well as most other customer say we do. Paninis are our best and most sold meal on the menu and after investigating I am being informed that the staff didn't do anything different to how they prepare the paninis every... More

Only ever been for breakfast. Little pricey but well worth it due to the excellent quality of the food.

Hi and many thanks for your kind comments. We will continue to source the best local produce we can to enable us to serve a good meal. Prices - they are usually in line with other similar eateries in the area and suppliers have pushed up prices as much as 50% on many items so in order to continue what... More

Visited before for coffee and scones, but feeling peckish we decided on a panini. I had Beef and Brie, with a salad garnish and small chips. Can honestly say probably one of the best I've ever had anywhere! You can see the chef in the kitchen cooking, and it comes out fresh and hot. Lovely place and always friendly staff.... More

Other people seem to have better luck here but we are left disappointed once again by the lack of customer service here. Rude and unwelcoming staff. Won't be returning.

Always visit on my annual work trip to Derby. Just a cup of tea and a sandwich this tea, but food is always fresh and the people are friendly and helpful. Nice decor and ambience too. Would highly recommend. Forgot to tip this time - sorry! Will leave extra next year!

The staff were friendly enough but to be questioned about whether we paid by the owner was somewhat insulting. We paid up front. It was a slice of toast and orange juice. Get a grip people. It's not the Ritz I will not be going back.

Hi and thank you for you comment. First, I am sorry you felt treated unfairly. It should not have happened. It really matters to us what our customers think. Thank you for noting the staff were friendly. That is exactly what I expect from them hence, most comments we receive include kind comments about staff friendliness. However, the same staff... More
