I wasn't expecting top food as this is a pub however the chips I ordered had no taste as well as the calamari rings. Can't complain about the onion rings which were nice...

I think this is now called just 'The Public House' and whilst the decor has changed with new tables and a couple of large screens and the menu has been slightly revamped since I last visited, sadly the food we had was disappointing. We were only here for lunch and between us had a cheese and pickle sandwich and tuna... More

This is a simple no frills pub within the village hotel, although you don't need to be a resident. The food is very good, portions are generous and they often have burger and a pint style promotions making it even better value

Staying at the refurbished Village Hotel had quick pint and burger and as always the pub is friendly and well run. Staff seem genuinely pleased to work there and it makes for a great atmosphere on a normally dull Tuesday evening.

We went out to the victory pub on a Tuesday eve. Not a lot of people in there which was nice. Loads of different good and good value. I used my taste card aswell which gave us 2 4 1. Bargain. Nice food x

Visited the Victory pub for lunch with my daughter last week out of convenience as we live nearby. Plenty of seating but a little dark inside. As mentioned by previous reviewers there are several large TV screens which we didn't need so chose a quieter spot. Prices aren't bad with a choice of '2 for' offers adding excellent value. We... I ate here one night while staying at the hotel. There are alot of large TV screens showing sport but as during the rugby world cup not a problem for me (football world cup may have been an issue!) The food was burgers and chicken wings type dishes of which i had both and they were good. The food arrive... More

We ate here on Sunday whilst staying at the hotel. I had flatbread pizza, my husband had the burger. It was well presented, hot and fresh. The staff were great all through our stay. It can get busy, especially if football is on but it's good for a quick bite and a drink. The Prosecco was great! :)

This used to be a great place for a drink and a bite to eat but I don't know what has happened. It was fairly busy, not rammed though but I couldn't find a table that didn't have dirty glasses or plates on it so I sat at one and moved the glasses to one side. We ordered nachos and... More

It was our own fault, we should have realised this place would be heaving…and it was. We did sit and look at the menu. Usual burgers and fast food type things but we couldn't get to the bar to order as it was so busy in there (7pm) and there were couple of large groups of women on hen parties... More
